I don't think I really have one. There's some different things I wouldn't mind checking out, but if I had to make a list of 'must see' stuff I'm not sure that I could come up with anything. I've never been on foreign soil so I guess that would probably be something that I'd consider. Maybe something like some ancient ruins or some Asian culture. I've actually been thinking on this since you first posted it @BearsWillWin and I still just kind of blankly stare at the screen trying to come up with something, which is weird because my mind is basically a game of pinball with 500 flippers, 1,000 plays happening at once complete with sound affects/lights and the mother fucker is always on tilt.
I think if you truly struggle to find things that need to go on your bucket list....it probably means you've lived or are living a pretty fulfilling life and you're happy. It doesn't mean you've done everything right or you have no regrets....@Lyman we've all made decisions in life we regret....but I think it does mean that you're content at where you are in life and that's a good thing.
We all have to die, but that doesn’t make it any easier when someone close to you is going through it. If I had to do a bucket list because I was going to die I would just want to spend time with the ones I love.
Back in the days when I played golf, I always wanted to play a round at Pebble Beach. I knew a guy that played there once. He said he lost at least a half a dozen balls.
Pfff - amateur. I can lose half a dozen balls on the front 9 of a good muni course. But great bucket list item. Put me down for a round at Augusta National.
Golf courses deserve a bucket list all of their own. I was a member at the Chicago Golf Club so I was lucky to play there a ton. I've played at Shinnecock, Royal County Down, Pebble Beach, and Royal Aberdeen. Have had a couple chances at Augusta and just haven't been able to go. I have a very good friend that's a member. I'd also put St. Andrews, Pine Valley, Sea Island, any TPC stadium course, and as many times as I've been to Hilton Head I have never played at Harbour Town so that's definitely on the list.
Add St. Andrews to my list as well. Augusta National and St. Andrews...and while there are any number of great courses throughout the world to play, I think those two would be enough for my bucket list before moving on to other things.
But great bucket list item. Put me down for a round at Augusta National. Axe.........me too I would love to play Augusta..........BUT You have to be the President of the United States or know a Member.......it's that simple......lol
I've golfed at 2 different golf courses. Their names escape me. I've only been asked to leave and never return to one of them. I gotta up my game ... this weekend it's golfing time again. I go once a year whether I need to or not. I'm actually a whole lot more interested in the drink cart to be honest. Oh plus I learned that you're not supposed to proposition the grounds staff. I dunno why everyone has to be so small-minded ya know?
Hey man, baby told me to get my awol ass over here. This is dreadful news, truly sorry for the times you're going through brother. My father is going through chemo right now and he's not currently winning. Not to say we're in the same boat, I mean your wife man, that's mega tough. Still, we're prob in the same stormy waters. This is gonna sound like way more of a dick statement than its meant to(not that that's ever stopped me before), but ive never bothered with a bucket list personally. Bucket lists take years, decades. For the most part ive decided I really wanted to do something and have found a way to do it. A buddy and me once had a thousand buck wager on who'd visit the 7wonders of the world first(I lost 7-4) and that was great, but ive not lost any sleep over seeing the other 3 *shrugs* Ok here's a couple. There's actually seeing a game at Soldier, that ive got to do. Its not even a great stadium particularly but being a Bears fan its self-explanatory. And there is one, its literally not possible just yet but one day it will be. I want to go on an orbital human spaceflight. I want to see the Earth from space. 10years ago I was highly confident that if I lived to a reasonable age I would achieve this. But companies like Virgin Galactic are taking forever and it feels a lot less likely now. Which happens first, the Bears winning a SB or me flying through space. Hmm, that's a tough one.... I'll tell you what, you get to Scotland and i'll get you on the Old Course. April or September would be better for me as they've commercialised the shit out of St Andrews these days and getting on that course is harder than hell in the summer months now. But fuck it, we'll find a way. Being a links golf guy Augusta never held huge appeal to me. Not helped by the fact ive spoken to lots of people who have played it and several have said they found it quite underwhelming as an actual golf course compared to what they imagined from tv. Royal County Down might be the greatest golf course ive ever played. Its way way up there.
A buddy and I used to golf Edgebrook near Chicago we used to hop the fence because they used to be closed on Wednesdays, and I'll tell you what those groundkeepers can be a real pain in the ass and didn't appreciate our game either. Okay first off if it was a man that complained his man card needs to be revoked, now if it was a woman Oh La La! Of course you are which probably led you to your previous endeavor because I know exactly what was in that cart.
