Thank Shea for sniping Devin White. Had him pegged since before the draft there. Figured one of the Devins would make it. Oh well. Maybe JJ turns into a DeAndre Hopkins lite, and he did me a favor. P.S. I know I’m waiting for 2020 with him. That’s all good
One reason I traded up for Gallup is because he's had a year and seems like he's a starter opposite Cooper with no competition. I didn't want to wait on JJ.
I knew RT wanted a stud young LB but I didn't expect him to try for one so soon. I'm personally not one to draft a defender in the first few rounds.
Fair enough. We’re all guessing on usage and opportunity, and to some degree crap we read. Still to this point a top two surprise pick for me
Yeah it’s a position I’ve done okay with on the waiver wire (got Deion Jones there). Only reason I suddenly needed one is because Telvin Smith is apparently taking a mental health sabbatical. WTF!
Before that trade, I was looking at Gallup and Fant as my pick. Gallup for the same reason you've listed
Honestly I’m just typing quickly. Considering the emphasis people put on rookies, the division rival component, that you passed up a rookie with potential on your favorite team, and my own appraisals of where guys go from here, the Gallup pick is my number one shocker thus far. Not entirely sure what 2 would be.
I know. I took Jordan Poyer in the 3rd last year based on need, although he was more of a known commodity.
When we traded I remember you saying you weren't sure who you were taking yet. So shit, there really was a decent chance he was going #17 either way. Also I know your name was making fun of the Pats but I thought you were going to take AJ Brown at #5 for some reason.
3.5 https://live4sportnetwork.com/forum/threads/2019-official-dynasty-league-draft.21798/ I texted beach earlier.
Not to start a huge QB debate, but my personal opinion is this: Dak is a GOOD QB for his team. Clearly a top 15 (12?) QB in the league. But he’s not of the ilk where he’s capable of creating two quality starting fantasy receivers on any kind of consistent basis. So for me the only two guys on that offense worth starting were both on rosters before this draft even started. That said I like Gallup. But I think he’s a guy who will mean more to his real team than he will to any fantasy squad. Again, my opinion only. I’ve been wrong once before. Maybe twice
I am not that high on Dak but he's not bad. I don't think you need to be a great QB to have multiple good WRs. I do think you need to be great though to have 3 unless one of them has a weird defined role for the 3rd. I'm also just trying to hedge my bets. I'm hoping I never have a need to start any of the WRs I drafted for a few years but if it's a bust I'd rather know a year sooner and move on.
I only have 1 guy from my 2016 rookie draft still on my roster and I think he's been cut twice by me before finding himself back on my roster. Tyler Boyd. My only rookie still left from 2017 is Alvin Kamara.
