I don't understand that whole concept. Is it a part of man's need to hope that they get to have a do-over?
Ah okay. I understand that it offers a choice but I also thought it could be molded to fit and excuse our choices.
Well, it doesn't. But when your brain ceases to function....it does. Same way when you hit a switch the light goes off. Are brains are powerful machines. Our unconscious mind is extremely complicated and is always at work. You see and hear things on a daily basis and your mind files them away without you even knowing it. Intuition is a pretty cool thing but a lot of it is explainable. Especially when you go back to some of Tim's points about everything being connected at the quantum level. Jung believed in a collective unconscious. At some level we are all connected and it explains why you can have brief memories of a life you didn't live or have intuition or deja vu. It can probably help explain the twin thing where twins, even ones that never met, can still have a chilling connection where they read each others thoughts and things of that nature. There tends to be a scientific explanation for everything....even if science hasn't discovered it yet.
This. And at some points in history one choice would be considered moral by the public at large while another wouldn't. But in time that can change. It was considered immoral at one time....and still is in parts of the world....for a black man to hold hands with a white woman.
I am perplexed. I understand what you're saying and what Lyman said but ... I don't get it. I almost feel like I don't want to get it.
Since the beginning man has feared death and sought to cope with that fear by envisioning an afterlife.
Now that I get. I always felt like building a book of laws (12 commandments) was just a way of someone controlling others. Also how is it not a basic understanding in every human that it's wrong to kill another? So you can do all the shit you want all your life and then turn around and see the light, changing your ways in order for you to feel like you have a modicum of control over what happens to you after you die. It all sounds like bs to me.
True. I have always just thought that good over evil is a pretty obvious choice to make but then you make an example like a black man holding a white woman's hand which makes zero sense to me.
LOL ... damnit. Hey did I ever tell you that I worked as a psychic for a couple of years? I worked for Chloe. She'd be very disappointed in your assessment of psychic work. LOL
see the movie Ex-Machina and think again ! oh they will pick the perfect football games and order you food and fuck you silly...the moment your back is turned is when they'll turn on you !!
