Tim whatever you and your robot mistress does is between you and her circuits. We don't wanna hear about it ! hahahhah
No. Only that I’ll sadly be too old by the time they perfect them. Imagine a really hot woman that never talks back unless you want her to, doesn’t have a mother in law, doesn’t spend money, and never says no?
If you are a fan of The Bears, life has no meaning or purpose, everybody else is squared away though.
Something something still butthurt after all these years.......something something mom's basement........something something your QB is a rapist....
And that right there demonstrates our "squirrel moment" and goes to prove the hard wiring in our brains. It just echoes my early reply that our purpose is to forage for food and propagate the species like all animals. Or maybe that's only the male human side of the equation 24/7/365 unless we're sleepy.
That's hilarious Duff!! Bww when you ask what the purpose of life is are you subliminally asking if there is life after death? When I was growing up I always thought of god as a vengeful entity. My experiences due to a morally-corrupt priest proved that belief out. But even when I was little if I stubbed my toe, I knew it was because I had done something nasty to someone else and the stubbed toe was payback. I think it was a good conviction to have because it did, to some extent, influence my actions for awhile. @Tim @BearsWillWin what are your thoughts on physics and seeing life as energy after someone has passed?
Um....no, I don't think so. That doesn't really enter the equation for me because I've accepted that there isn't. Furthermore...if there were life after death....life here right now loses purpose instead of gaining purpose. Because if you can go on and live eternally after death with no pain or problems...then why not just end it now? And someone will inevitably talk about leading a good life and so on and sins and morals. But there's a problem with that... There are no set rules on what's good and what's bad. Don't tell me the 10 commandments because man existed on this planet long before those things were ever carved into stone. Morality is subjective. It changes over time. So it can't be the basis for life after death. And shove sins up your pooper because every religion defines their own sins and religion is crap. If life is a test that you need to pass in order to live after you die I want to see the criteria and no one has shown it for me so when I die I'm demanding a do-over.
I misspelled the word. Sorry about that. What are your thoughts on psychics and seeing life as energy after someone has passed?
Ever notice religious people that claim to heal the sick and lame while standing on stage with a microphone at some big show people paid to see......never show up at hospitals to heal actual sick people? Also....psychics never seem to use their powers for any kind of good for mankind. They prey on people for their money.
I'm not suggesting that a life after death would be problem or pain free. What if your earthly existence is just a gateway into a different reality? Do you think that there is some kind of base morality that isn't subjective? Are you suggesting that everyone's perception of good and bad is or could be different?
There are some minor sects that believe dying is a form of evolution and your soul passes on to the next step of the journey. But they also believe aliens are a more highly evolved human and eventually we all turn into flying balls of some fiery substance or something. I read a book about it. Didn't make much sense. No. Because somewhere at sometime it was probably okay to murder people. There is a probably a small list of things that have been considered immoral for a really, really long time by 99% of the population at any given time. But all morality is subjective. Essentially....yes.
I've had a couple of psychic experiences in the past that made me sit up and take notice. I didn't have to pay for the experiences. My experiences cemented my own ideas that when we die our energy goes out there somewhere. I don't believe that there is anything good or bad in this event, the energy just is. How can everything that we think, love, hate and experience just disappear when our hearts stop? It makes me think of people who are intuitive. How can that be explained? For instance my husband always comes home at different times in the evening but I always know when he's on our road. I can't hear his truck or see the road from my house but I know that he's coming.
