To the guy at Kraft (owners of the Heinz brand) who forgot to research the name.......

New Heinz condiment Mayochup has an unfortunate translation in Cree

After a run in the U.S., Kraft Heinz introduced Mayochup, a combination of mayonnaise and ketchup mixed in a single bottle, to Canadian consumers earlier this month.

The name seems pretty logical—though some would argue ketchonnaise would be better—but in certain Cree dialects it comes off as less than appealing.

To some, Mayochup can translate to “shitfaced” or “shit is on my face”.

“We the Cree people are laughing about it because of what it means in our language,” Grand Chief Jonathan Solomon told the National Post in an email. “It’s kinda funny when you think about it. If I ate it and have some on my face, than I [am] Mayuchup/Shitface.”

The Steelers have to find a new stadium sponsor. It seems Heinz isn’t reuping it’s contract and it runs out after this season. Which after reading that Kraft owns Heinz it doesn’t make sense for a patriots owner to be paying to advertise on a Steelers stadium. The appropriate sponsor would be US Steel.

Or "Depends" since all the Steelers fans are shitting themselves right now. They could install dispensers at at stadium entrances, bathrooms and could even have (8) fan giveaways per year. I don't know what to tell you about away games...you might have to splurge and bring your own.

Not sure where "all" came from. Some of us can't wait to kick the shit out of the Browns this year. It has to have been pretty hard for Steelers players to get up for the games in the past. They can now legitimately go into those games with an edge.

Apparently, almost ruining the company the first time wasn't enough.........Do they really expect that we have forgotten that New Coke sucked balls?

Coca-Cola is bringing back New Coke in honor of 'Stranger Things'

Coca-Cola is hoping a failed product from the 1980s will help it go viral in 2019. The company is bringing back a limited number of New Coke cans in honor of the upcoming third season of "Stranger Things," in which the product is featured.

"Stranger Things" creators Ross and Matt Duffers came up with the idea to bring New Coke back as a way to promote the show, which will start streaming on Netflix (NFLX)on July 4. The third season of the show takes place during the summer of 1985 — when Coca-Cola (KO) debuted a new recipe for its iconic beverage. So-called New Coke was a flop: Consumers reacted so poorly to the new drink that Coca-Cola pulled it from shelves after a few months. New Coke was rebranded as Coke II, and sold in some places after 1985. But this is the first time Coca-Cola is bringing back New Coke with that branding.

Bringing New Coke back is a way for Coca-Cola to "not take ourselves too seriously," Stuart Kronauge, president of Coke's sparkling business unit and senior vice president of marketing for Coca-Cola North America, told CNN Business. And it wasn't easy to recreate the product: Coca-Cola had to reach into its archives to get the design of right, and dig through its vault to recover the recipe.

"Maybe a while ago we wouldn't have done this," Kronauge said. "But we're changing and trying to innovate in ways that are beyond traditional new products. This is a cultural innovation." Coca-Cola recently partnered with Disney Parks & Resorts on custom designs for Coke products being sold at Disney's new "Star Wars" theme park, "Galaxy's Edge."

The partnership is a way for Coke to reach people in an evolving media landscape. "Buying a 30-second ad to drop into a certain time-frame is not as valuable as it once was," Kronauge said.
"The world is changing into streaming and non-ad platforms and subscription-based platforms," she added. "So it's important for us to make sure that we are where our consumers' eyeballs and hearts and spirits are." The new promotion is designed to "break the internet" Kronauge said.

There are three ways for customers to get the retro product: As a gift when they buy limited-edition "Stranger Things" Coke and Coke Zero Sugar glass bottles online starting Thursday, through "Stranger Things" themed pop up vending machines that will be in cities this summer, or as a giveaway when they purchase a gift or ticket at the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta. Coca-Cola has produced under 500,000 of the New Coke 12-ounce cans, and expects to run out quickly.
The company is also selling "Stranger Things" themed cans of regular Coke and Coke Zero Sugar, and is releasing a remake of a 1980s ad featuring characters from the show.

For Netflix, the partnership is a way to advertise in new channels.

"We exist on the internet, and Coke has a century of experience in building consumer products that are physical," Barry Smyth, Head of Global Partner Marketing at Netflix, told CNN Business. The streaming platform is also partnering with a number of other companies, including Lego, H&M, Schwinn and Baskin-Robbins, to promote the upcoming season.

    News of the Weird
    LEAD STORY -- Florida!

Police officers in Indialantic, Florida, responded to at least seven calls about a man disturbing the peace on April 7. Patrons of Starbucks and Sassy Granny's Smoothies, among others, were startled when 61-year-old Thomas Devaney Lane started yelling, calling himself "the saint" and threatening to unleash his army of turtles on the community. According to WKMG, Lane went along with an officer to the police station, where he screamed at the dispatcher and pounded on the walls, but then left the building. He was located later at a 7-Eleven, verbally assaulting customers. As officers stood by, Lane called 911 and told the dispatcher, "I need to leave now or you will all be sorry you (expletive) with the saint." Lane was charged with disturbing the peace, resisting arrest without violence and misusing 911. [WKMG, 4/12/2019]

Never trust the macaroni salad. It’ll turn on you when you least expect it.

This, after police in Mt. Morris, New York, apprehended three burglary suspects Sunday by following a trail of macaroni salad they left behind while making their getaway.

In a release published Monday morning, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office reports thieves broke in and stole a cash register from Build-A-Burger Restaurant, along with the establishment’s entire surveillance system and a large bowl of macaroni salad.

Deputies were hot on the criminals’ trail, literally, as they attempted to escape via the nearby Greenway Trail.

“Found along the trail were cash register parts, surveillance system parts, rubber gloves, loose change and a steady trail of macaroni salad,” the sheriff’s office said. “It was later discovered that the suspects stole a large bowl of macaroni salad, which they took turns eating, along their escape route.”

Officers arrested Matthew P. Sapetko, 34, James P. Marullo, 35, and Timothy S. Walker Jr., 23, by early Sunday afternoon. The three have been charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree grand larceny. Walker faces additional charges for criminal possession of a controlled substance, say police.

Per the Democrat & Chronicle, the three have been booked into the Livingston County Jail. Most of the stolen property has been recovered.
