Not defending the action at all. Also not going at anyone in particular here I just remember reading something to the effect that Kraft should have to sell the team. Just curious if anyone still believes he should be forced to sell.
Been a lot of to do over something that's not as serious as its being 'spun'. Off-season story to no where, lol.
I believe that the organization he's a part of the - the NFL - is within their right to ask that of him (presuming that's part of the agreement in order to be a part of the organization). I haven't followed the case at all, so I can't comment further. Breaking the law shouldn't necessarily force you out of your occupation / ownership. However, employers / organizations often do and often should retain right to do that of their own accord, based on the crime / act committed.
I believe someone was comparing this to Richardson being forced to sell the Panthers. That was during the early time of that investigation when it wasn't reportedly clear that Kraft was unaware of the human trafficking being done in the establishments...Once he was cleared of that part, the discussion about him being forced to sell the team pretty much died. There's a big difference of documented sexual harassment taking place by the owner and another owner getting a happy ending at a massage parlor...
exactly right Axe. my last year in college sucked bc some black guys didn't like losing to 5 white guys in intramural basketball and later on jumped one of the white kids when he was alone in his dorm room. that kid told the football team and a racial war started on campus and alcohol, which was part of the fight, was banned from campus. some of my buddies got pulled into this for taking sides. off campus at our favorite burrito place, our starting 3b saw some of the black kids involved in this whole thing. words were said and he unfortunately used the N word to blame them for starting this whole thing and not taking the basketball loss as men. He was wearing our college jacket at the time of the incident and only the baseball team had jackets like this with the school's name on it. the black kids cried foul to the Dean of Students. The school suspended him from the NCAA Baseball playoffs 2 games. The Regional was only 3 games keep in mind. Why? Because even thought he was off-campus, he wore the school's jacket and as a member of the school's baseball team, he has a duty to uphold the integrity of the school. Now i didn't agree with the ruling when it happened as off-campus to me means the college has no laws of justice there. later on it did hit me and it made sense. wearing the jacket is a symbol of the college and you represent the college every time you wear it. so like Robert Kraft, he's a extension of the Patriots on and off the field. Whether he was in Florida at a rub and tug or stripped club in Vegas, etc, he's still a part of the Patriots and should act accordingly.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...an-name-first-year-coach-adam-gase-acting-gm/ Jets fire thir GM.. Gase now acting GM. Oh the Jets...smh.
I just don’t get how you wait until now. You literally allowed the GM to hire a new coach, sign free agents, and do the draft....then fired him.
