nice win Skinny. Good luck in Milwaukee. Sixers fans are outraged. Terrible coaching by Brown. Sixers went without a bucket to start both halves. Embiid refused to play down low to the post. He and Butler kept taking bad 3's and Simmons won't do anything 15 feet or beyond with a basketball. a winnable game they let go in ugly fashion. Fans want Simmons and Embiid out as they would bring back a ton of a trade. Many see them as uncoachable and Embiid does whatever he wants. To me priority 1 is resigning Jimmy Butler.
someone said that last night on FB. Joe Carter was way worse than Leonard. damn Joe Carter ! 1993 relived all over again. thanks BWW.
It's amazing how something so long ago can still bother you. I saw a clip of Leon Durham letting a ball go through his legs from 1984 the other day on Youtube and I wanted to throw something like it had just happened.
it doesn't bother me. i was kidding. funny though. Williams gets blamed for the WS loss, but it was Fregosi's fault. they blew game 4 with a huge lead and he taxed the bullpen. the bullpen is game 4 was exhausted and in game 6, they were on fumes. Williams made a decent pitch and Carter went down and hit it. It was lower than people think and not the meatball pitch everyone thought it was. Had they won game 4 like they should have with that huge lead, the series is over in 5.
Toronto and philly have rivalries going in all three sports. It was 18 years ago that Vince missed that buzzer beater.
Simmons is the punk. Embiid is fine. And I know it looks like the Sixers couldn't do anything but that was the best defense the Raptors played all postseason. Sixers were never allowed to penetrate on a consistent basis and the perimeter was well defended. The kicker was that for the first time all series Toronto actually tried to play better with their body setup around the boards. Sixers were dominated there but it was the other way around all series. I think that once the Raptors finallly figured it out it was too late for the Sixers to find a way to solve it midgame when it came so naturally to them all season since they were basically just given to them. Embiid refused to play? I'd say it was Simmons. Look at that last shot even. Instead of staying and doubling Kawhi when he turner to the sidecourt he just let him go. Also Embiid wasn't necessarily taking bad 3s. It's just that any 3 he takes is usually bad and that was the only open shot they seemed to have often. Late in the game when he finally got one is when I felt like the Raptors were honestly gonna blow it.
opening 4 min and it was 6-0 toronto. the sixers shot selection was solid and had open looks. just couldn't buy a bucket. same for the opening of the 3rd qtr-5 min to open the quarter without a bucket. i don't get simmons at all. all that talent and he won't shoot ! what is wrong with him ? sixers need to resign butler as they paid a ton to acquire him. if not, total bust moves from Brand and the ownership. The Process needs to be rebuilt if Butler leaves and they keep Embiid and Simmons. As for Embiid-he should be so dominant and he's not. he's lazy and doesn't get down low and can't rebound anymore. really pathetic last night. bad coaching as well.
yeah it looked to be over at 2-0. now a whole new ballgame. golden state licking their chops on plenty of rest to await the winner !
The raptors let that game 1 slip in the 4th quarter, the bucs looked real bad yesterday. The bench looked good for the raps, im expecting a different bucs team to show up at home.
