This is why there is enforcers and should be enforcers in the NHL, period !

 

The leafs had a choice to keep their enforcer and let him go, Matt Martin. Nobody takes on Chara anyway, the refs have to get the calls right consistently.

The NHL has to bring up their standards with officiating. It really does fall behind the other sports. Hitting someones stick is a penalty but a sucker punch isn't.

The play was dead with Chara too, I'm not sure if Marchand gets any discipline here, he's been suspended as much as Kadri.

 

NFK hit someone in the head from behind while he was down... that's cowardly and bush and goes against the 'code'. The refs mist it, the NHL is mum, but a payback is warranted. Let the players solve the issues.

 

The only thing I could see as to why it isn't a big deal is that it looked like more of a jab.

Well, im torn cuz I happen to like the NFK face licking hit the head from behind Bruin, but I just wish he would have done what he did fair n square, but he let me down. He gets out of control, a unique individual, maybe a head case, but my point is, if the BJ's have a beef, settle it with him 1 on 1 and get er done. Its plain and simple in my book, what goes around comes around, karma. Id also add that im not condoning a similar act, just if it hurt a BJ's feelings get up in his grill and go, don't do what he did, but answer with a response of class and just let it ride.
