We had a conversation on perceived value and what the market suggests on Greedy Williams and Derwin James earlier in this thread.

At the time, Greedy's perceived market was within the top 10 picks. Now, Williams' market has shifted into the 15-25 range, putting him in an area that Pittsburgh may be able to draft him in.

Due to him not taking private workouts, not doing all of the drills throughout the pre-draft process and questions about his physicality in run support, his stock has cooled some.

This is how the market and perceived value works. It has to do with analysts gathering information from teams and placing draft values to players based on those interactions.

That doesn't mean that zero teams have him as a top 10 pick. It doesn't mean that some teams have him with a second round grade. It simply gives an idea of what a player's value within the scouting/NFL community is perceived to be.

Now, if he goes in the top 10 some will consider it a reach. If he gets into the late 20s he will be perceived as falling by some.

 

I agree but after reviewing his film he’s not a top 10 player IMO

 

I agree with that (he sits at #21 on my war board) but there is still a lot to like about Greedy. I'm seeing a bit of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in his game.

I wouldn't be surprised if a team like Detroit were to trade down and take a shot at Greedy somewhere around pick 12.

 

There was a mock draft on nfl.com that had the Steelers pick Greedy Williams at pick number 52.

 

The lowest I have seen him placed was at pick 65. The highest was at #5 overall.

 

That would be great value for Pitt but don’t they like tackling DBs? Greedy will not give u that and he sure isn’t Primetime lol

So much DL talent going to pass on BPA expect a head scratcher guys! Bush will be gone early teens unless Colbert jumps up to 10.

With their craptacular CB evaluation I hope they go with another position @ 20.

 

Every F’n mock gives Pitt the highest rated CB available. I’m hoping teams reach and a blue chipper falls to them. Maybe an elite pass rusher they can’t pass on but then again Dupree and Jones were misses. I’d take Noah Fant over Greedy and grab a cb with one of the 2 third rounders.

Whatever the pick is I hope their 3 cone drill was exceptional and they weren’t timed in the 40 with a sun dial . Look at guys who are explosive and force takeaways, TFL / sacks !

I saw Marquise Brown talking on NFLN. No f@$&+$ way!!! Talk about AB junior. Already calling himself Hollywood and said he would have had the fastest 40 at the combine if not for his foot. As nybites would say, more red flags then China!

 

I like Parris Campbell from Ohio St.

 

One trade I can see so far is New Orleans. They have ZERO 3rd or 4th round picks. They may move their 2ND rounder for more picks .

 

Other trade option: Seattle. They only have 5 picks, but two late in the first. They may sacrifice one for more picks. Then..... Steelers move up?

 

Ray Fittipaldo has the best mock I’ve seen it’s on PPG. Move up for Bush with Washington at 15 to jump Carolina. Cincy needs a QB, OL, TE it’s not a forgone conclusion they go ILB just because Burpfart went to the Blackholes. Their new coach is offensive minded. I love the Boykin pick one of my favorite WR with upside. Savage in round 2 , I like that thinking: Smart , athletic, a real playmaker.

If the Jets are looking to bulk up on so many holes needing filled, maybe there is a sliver of hope. I would really prefer White, just love his length and in his film he comes out of nowhere consistently, thru traffic ... great on cover ... he's be a true shot in the arm with immediate impact.

 

Price will be too steep unless the Jets slide back into a later pick. If AZ doesn’t pick Murray that will
push guys like Jones and Haskins back into later picks. Gruden likes Murray but it’s a short list of teams enamored with the short QB.

 

Well, Washington may not be a dance partner if Dan Snyder starts pounding the table for a QB.

Right. That's why they can't make the playoffs consistently.

Personally, I hope Haskins goes to the Dolphins to help fight the New Bunghole Pats.
