Jacob deGrom to undergo MRI on sore elbow...

 

no team is running away with the division just yet. all pretty much even.

phils may get gio gonzalez, who i wanted all along! they need bullpen help and a sp badly. keuchal cost too much. gio had 18 wins just 2 years ago. he's a bargain to get.

 

What happened with the Yankees that made Gio opt out of his contract?

 

i think bc he was still in the minors. not positive. my buddy thinks he's washed up. im willing to try him out over keuchal and $17 million ! wtf gio can't be worse than pivetta !

 

phillies lost 9-0 and Rhys Hoskins was thrown at twice in the top of the 9th. one pitch was at his head and behind him. one was up very high. Hoskins wasn't happy. Nothing came of it which pissed off the Phils post-game announcers as they thought the team should've reacted and backed Hoskins up. They didn't. Something could happen today.

Phils at this time last year were 15-8. Now 12-11. Starting pitching is awful. Bullpen is worse. Tons of injuries right now and the hitters are very hot and cold. All the Bryce Harper's in the world can't solve their woes right now. Ugly in Philly.
