In Hoosiers, what team was Hickory playing when Shooter drunkenly wandered onto the floor and drew a technical foul?

    man that's a good one...

i wanna say Terre Haute but i don't think that's right.

  7. Underdog Franchise Player Patriots

It’s not Terre Haute, but it’s surprisingly not that far off from that

haha. i know South Bend was the final. I only recall off the top of my head Decauter as a team name. I forget the rest.

damn! i recall a sign from the stands - TO THE MOON WITH TERHUNE !

Hoosiers is a great movie and sports movie but it has a few things happen that are never explained. Buddy quits the team with Ray's brother. The next day, the Father brings his son back to the team. By the next game, Buddy is back on the team with no explanation of how he got back on the team and he starts?

Shooter says at the diner in the 1933 sectionals he missed a shot. the story takes place in 1954-55. That would make him 32 years old. Does Dennis Hopper look 32 yrs old in that movie ? haha.

ok U Dog - the floor is yours again..

Not to detract from your salient point on Shooter too much but a) I think your math is off and 2) he was a raging drunk so he should look older than what should’ve been late 30’s. But either way Dennis Hopper was too old for that part, you’re right there lol.

Those problems aside still the GOAT sports movie.

  13. Catfish Guest

oh damn, he's 39 or 40, not 32 but way too old looking.

in the scene where hackman whispers something to hooper on the bench of a game and they both laugh, you can't hear what he whispers. the web has it as hackman told hooper "our careers are over after this movie," as hackman didn't think the movie was that good. wow was he wrong.

In Avengers: Infinity War, how many different future outcomes did Dr. Strange foresee?

  15. Catfish Guest

saw it once. no shot i remember it. not a fan of these movies. too much CGI. I'll watch them but have no real interest.

    i'll guess and say 3 ?

  16. TopDawg Legend

oh boy - the best sports movie debate is a tough one. rocky and hoosiers are in my top 5.

  18. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

Why not run a bracket style vote thread? Get a list of nominees and then pair them up two at a time. I'll nominate "Remember the Titans".

CBS did that last year. i discredited the bracket when they didn't have the movie The Natural in the bracket at all !!! The Natural is one of my favorites.

although Disney fudged the truth a little, another favorite of mine.
