Duck is going to be an interesting one to watch. I've had the chance to see him play a few times. Not sure if he'll get drafted, but he's truly tenacious as a CB and is likely to stick on a roster.
I don't know if we interviewed him during the Shrine game week or not, but he's on our radar. And you know how we love those undersized, fast and athletic linebackers.
That tends to happen with centers. I was the same way with Burkett and Falcinelli. Burkett was taken just as I was getting online to check the UDFAs in the GMO, so Falcinelli was the automatic choice in that one. I took Burkett this time instead just to mix it up. Falcinelli is one of the reasons why I have so much respect for the Clemson coaching staff. They allowed him to rearrange his schedule and miss otherwise mandatory practices to go to work doing an internship as part of his MBA program. Many programs claim they focus on developing the person and not just the player, but Clemson really does live up to it.
Probably higher on my board than most places (listed with the LBs at #12, #153 overall), but I see a moldable force for a defense that utilizes specialty players and a potential starting linebacker for the right team. Lots of positive traits in this one.
To put a list together like that takes some serious time and effort. 370 deep! are you kidding me? lol! I thought I was a freak....Cool that you broke it down by position as well. Very nice..... Kudos!
Worst part is, there are probably close to a dozen guys that I wish I could have found more film on...
Don't know if this is one, but I was gonna ask your opinion on Kaden Elliss (Idaho)...Didn't see him on your LB page...I know he's had a lot of visits
Hope I’m not asking for a trade secret or something, but aside from YouTube where else do you find any decent film? I just noticed this season that even draft breakdown seems to have folded
Facebook is a solid resource for both finding full games and reaching out to people (especially schools like Fordham, Central Connecticut State). I've also been able to locate a lot of stuff by doing twitter searches. I'm always looking out for links in the comment section of anything I'm viewing. Most of what I view is from the full game film on youtube. I can scout multiple players off of the same link and it saves me a lot of time in looking for film. The other thing I do that pays big dividends is to first, find a prospect's individual film by searching on youtube with 'jon doe vs 2018', the second, go to the profile page of the person that made that edit because they are almost guaranteed to have more players on breakdowns. I have a couple other things I do but it's mostly through networking that I have built up over the years. When I was looking to find more film on Blair Brown I had someone I'm familiar with email me some film study from an Ohio practice (that's when I took notice to Javon Hagan). If you're willing to reach out to people, and willing to have the occasional door slammed in your face, you can find pretty much anything you are looking for. Well, that, and being bullheadedly stubborn and refusing to stop searching google, bing, duck, baidu and anything else that will let you jam a query down its throat.
His name didn't start traveling the circuit until after his pro day (April 10). I didn't have him on the original list I pared down so I haven't scouted him. I'll profile and score him sometime tonight or tomorrow and if you have any other names you want me to take a look at, just list them along with Kaden and make sure you tag me in the post so I see it.
@Tim - is the war room list going to be its own page on the site, or is it only going to be posted as a thread on the forum? It's the type of thing that could drive a lot of traffic to the site between now and the end of the draft. If you have it as a page, I'll mention it in comments that I post elsewhere and see if I can steer a few viewers to it.
