I can't explain his fall in both mocks, but this is a player; CLEVELAND BROWNS SELECT Bobby Evans, OL - Oklahoma
Everything continuing to fall magically for Carolina. I've enjoyed this a lot. ..Props to Joe and RT for allowing me to rep them.
If you remember TD, in the GMO I mentioned that I surprisingly enjoyed representing them as well. Something fun about their needs and the way the board falls
He's a case where the negatives don't bother me anywhere near as much as they'd bother some teams. I'm not big on the older guys in the early rounds because the age difference might be a factor in their seemingly dominant play. But that's not as much of a factor for a DB as with some other positions. I'm also not counting on a fifth rounder to be with me for the next 10-15 years anyway, the way I would be with a first rounder. And the grade on the NFL site ripped him for being undersized. I don't care about that either - I see him as a developmental strong safety who could play "big nickel" or be a dime back and a core special teams player. Our head coach said he wanted to add depth at strong safety. Sheldrick Redwine and Mike Edwards got taken ahead of me (I would have taken Redwine if he had still been available, as I like the FS/SS interchangeablility), so now was the time to grab Hansen while he was still available.
Ancient minds think alike. Actually, I suspect that quite a few NFL teams will look at him the same way.
Heads up... Falcons have two picks coming up in the morning that are close together. Same as when I had two picks together in the mid fourth and at the end of the fourth, I plan to use one and trade one. For that matter, I might end up trading both. So if anyone is looking to scoop up an extra pick or to move up, PM me.
While Hyatt isn’t a physical speciman he’s a solid player. Could be our RG or possibly even get a look at RT if Conk struggles again
