The Vikings added one offensive lineman this week when they signed guard Josh Kline and they may not be done adding to the group.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Tyler Shatley will be visiting the team on Friday.

Shatley would give the team another interior lineman to go with Kline. He started seven games at center for the Jaguars last year and also saw time at guard over his five seasons in Jacksonville.

The Vikings have seen two interior linemen — Tom Compton and Nick Easton — sign elsewhere as free agents this offseason and they released Mike Remmers in another move aimed at reshaping their group of blockers.

 

This draft for Rick Speilman ( sp ) is very important for him to not this mess this up,jobs might be on the line here!

 

Need an edge rusher on D and a solid RB... id be happy if they do that up front.

He's viewed as one of the top GM's in the NFL. I really don't know why tho, but that's what ive heard.

We could do much worse also.

Hopefully the Vikings fair better this year offensively than they did last year... Kubiak's should help a lot. I think we will see a more explosive, dynamic offense this season. Better play from Cousins and a run game wont hurt.

 

You know i wonder with Capt. Kirk contract will it put the Vikings in Salary Cap Hell next season

Vikings meeting with quarterback Nick Fitzgerald...

The Vikings are still looking for another quarterback, and today they’ll turn their attention to the college ranks.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Vikings are bringing in Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald for a visit today.

They brought free agent Sean Mannion in for a look but he left without a deal, leaving Kirk Cousins and Kyle Sloter as the only quarterbacks on the roster.

Fitzgerald is likely a late-round project, as he was a career 54 percent passer in college, but he was a three-year starter and he ran for 3,607 yards and 46 touchdowns. He also did tight end drills at his Pro Day, as some are curious if he can be a conversion project. (PFT)
