Michael Bennett on the trade block. Maybe now that the draft is starting up people will actually notice.

What do you guys think of the trade that showstopper made with Denver? I’m torn about it, I know that Devin White is the player that the Steelers need more than any other rookie.

Thought maybe we could dig deeper on this derision you have towards Rashan Gary....@xinik

For one, you do realize he's really more of an EDGE prospect than a DT? I mentioned him as the 2nd best 3T-DT in the draft because it's true, but at the NFL level I see him more as a pass rushing End...

When I put on the tape, I see an explosive athletic player with high upside. Rashan clearly has the potential to be a dominant force in the NFL.

@Lyman is in charge of the draft this year and even @Will if he is the only guy on.

@xinik, also ya gotta keep in mind he played with a shoulder injury all year. When RG is full go, there aren't many human beings that can stop him.

Per Charley Casserly: (paraphrasing)- Line Rashan Gary up any where you want on the defensive line in a 4-3 alignment, and he will produce. Probably best on the edge. Overpowers opponents with core strength, and elite athleticism.

And Charlie isn't saying ANYTHING that isn't obvious when you turn on the tape....

dude was the #1 recruit in the nation for a reason.

FTR: Gary originally committed to Ohio State, then de-committed.

No one is saying he isn't physically gifted TD. I think Xinik's point was "okay, you're in the top 3 percentile of physically gifted athletes. Why only 10 sacks in 3 seasons?"

In short, where is the production? Some have questioned his effort. Obviously with his versatility, and keyword "potential" some team is going to be very excited about him. He should be able to dominate his competition, at any level. But, he hasn't really done it yet. So Xinik was just saying for the hype of having to spend a top 10 pick likely to grab him, could he sleep easy making the call...and he figures the answer is no. And he won't be the only one.

At the same time, I'm sure there's a few teams clamoring to get their hands on him. A team like the Patriots or Seahawks would probably love to get him in the rotation and figure out what he does best.

in short, I just explained why lack of production...
I don't get that at all.
That's not the impression I got at all.... He "hates" him. (are you his spokesman now?)
and they would be wrong too...
No doubt more than a few...
Who wouldn't? (besides you and xinik) You won't find an NFL GM looking at him as some minor rotational piece, I can promise you that RT.

I hate him relative to his assumed draft position. I don't like him as a top 10 prospect. I probably don't like him in the first round for my team. His boom or bust is off the charts and he hasn't had production numbers over his years since he was the #1 high school prospect. Wino was hurt this season also and he still made more trouble for opposing offenses than Gary did.

I understand why you like him. I understand why some people would like him as a top 10 pick. I just personally can't get behind a guy who should be absolutely dominating the guy lined up in front of him on just about every play but who isn't consistently producing sacks -- as a first rounder.

Charlie Casserly really sounds like an old man shouting at the sky these days... So his opinion is not one that matters very much to me.
