I keep getting sniped, sometimes double and triple sniped. I must be focused to high in my big board for being the 18th pick over-all. From now on, Im going to start from the bottom and work my way up, lol. Seriously, this exercise shows the importance of knowing how to navigate around these things. I just hope Spielman of the Vikings can figure things out. He says he 'has a plan for every scenario', I sure hope he's right.
Honestly I could convince myself to get excited about Gary. I see why other people like him. I just have been fooled too many times by an interior pass rusher who LOOKS like they will be a dominant pro but who doesn't have the production to match what they should be able to do.
Dont care that he was a Wolverine, however the thing to keep an eye on is that he went two straight weeks against a pro-style Offensive Line and was stopped both times. He was great in college until he wasn't. This is a high risk-reward pick in my opinion
It's definitely not without risk. I felt good about him after trading down from 37 though. He has a motor the never stops, great hand usage, a pretty decent set of pass rush moves, good hips (not great bend but he can flip his hips) and can make himself real skinny but might not ever be strong enough to handle the big boy offensive tackles one on one. The Giants though need some help off the EDGE and I liked him enough to think he belongs in this range. Also after vocally trashing Rashan Gary more then he deserves I opted to just play it up...
Are ya ready to make a pick Lym? It's strange to see a draft this far in and we still haven't seen the Browns OTC yet.
Well, unless we decide to jump back in, thanks to the Antonio Brown trade, the Raiders are done for a couple rounds...
Even if you have a QB, such as Oakland and Cincinnati, if you get an opportunity for what you feel is a clear cut upgrade at the game's most important position, I think you should take it. If you aren't trying to win the Super Bowl, what are you doing?
With our 1st pick in the 2019 GMO draft, the Cleveland Browns select; Michael Deiter, C/G - Wisconsin .
