EAGLES resign Ronald Darby. Although he gets burnt a lot, having depth at that position is never a back thing as injuries happen.

The Panthers continue to check items off their needs list, finding a veteran pass-rusher.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Panthers have agreed to a one-year deal with Bruce Irvin.

The Panthers were short on anyone to pressure a quarterback after the retirement of Julius Peppers. Other than Mario Addison, they didn’t have a proven commodity on the roster.

Irvin had 6.5 sacks between stints with the Raiders and Falcons last year, and has had at least 5.5 sacks in all but one of his seven seasons.

He was the 49th-ranked player in the PFT Free Agent Top 100, and leaves just five of the top 50 left on the market. (PFT)

Man I remember thinking McDowell was a physical monster and worth the risk that came with him being a massive A-hole. I feel very very wrong at this point though the whole massive brain injury thing didn't help him much.

Not much question about his physical ability coming out of MSU.

Aaron Rodgers is one of the last long term Packers left. I thought Mathews would be a Packer for life. Wow.

Almost $2 million less than Cole Beasley's 2019 cap hit with the Bills. If Cobb stays healthy, Dallas shouldn't miss a beat.

Yeah, but they're getting rid of the wrong ones. Keep the crappy, overpaid players that were holding you back, and get rid of your starting QB. For f***'s sake, Green Bay...

Randall Cobb is on his last legs. I'd be surprised if the Cowboys got what they're paying for, out of Cobb, let alone what they might have gotten from Beasley instead.

TBD. He played well prior to injuring his hamstring (17-194-1 in Weeks 1-3), and he put up numbers VERY similar to Cole's in 2016-2017. Either way, they weren't going to give CB $7 mil/year with $14.4 guaranteed. Cobb's a one-year stop-gap; Dallas will almost certainly draft a WR this year with an eye toward taking over in 2020.

Secretly I'd hoped Dorsey would get him signed w/ the Browns. Outside of being thin at LB, It'd be cool to have Clay Matthews back in a Browns Jersey.;)
