Our Steelers are the big winners as they no longer have a complete ass clown on their team. It will be fun to watch the honeymoon end in Oakland. Carr and AB. That will be fun to watch for many reasons.
No doubt Brown and the Raiders appear to be the winners right now. Time will tell. I always liked listening to Mike Mayock and his player evaluations leading up to the draft. Now he's the Raiders GM. Smart guy in my opinion. Not surprised he got a GM job. Listening to Mayock talk about how the Raiders were able to get Brown for a 3rd round pick pisses me off. Smart guy. He knew Colbert didn't have any other offers at that point and he took advantage. I hope Brown sends Gruden back to retirement. I hope Brown ultimately makes Mayock feel stupid. If Brown isn't targeted 13-15 times a game and doesn't have 100 receptions he's going to bring that crazy blonde mustached Mr Big Chest character out again. I hated that dude but I hope to see him again soon!
I'm not so sure that wasn't his "I want out" persona. It might take a season or two for it to come back...How many guaranteed years did they add?
The Steelers made Brown and offered Bell what was the highest salaries ever for their positions respectively. Neither one of them is the highest at their positions on their new teams. The Steelers valued them more than the new teams do, but they come out like the Steelers are cheap. What ungrateful basterds they are.
And from what I’ve heard this is one of the reasons the NYG traded OBJ now and not wait until he goes into full Mr Big Chest mode. NYJ have an interesting home schedule Steelers, Raiders, and Browns coming to town and they play the NYG
All they care about is the fully guaranteed money these days. So look for this kind of thing to start becoming more frequent.
