Except as AFCN Champions, the Browns won't be playing in the 1st (Wildcard) Round. :point:

    BOLD PREDICTION

Seems like we see it every year...I like the Jets call, but I'll say Oakland is the surprise team that goes from last in their division to WC appearance....

Those are bold predictions for sure...two top 5 picks going to the playoffs a year later. I think they are more likely 2020 candidates.

My bold prediction...I know not so bold on a Browns board, is that the Browns not only make the playoffs, they win the AFC North AND make it to the AFC Championship game.

I had to outdo everyone else that had already had the Browns as playoff teams, and some that put them at the head of the division.

    Here's a bold prediction...

The Browns will NOT be major players in the draft.

My extensive prediction is this, after seeing them take care of two positions with the trade for Vernon and the signing of Richardson...We are now moving to CB and WR as the two biggest needs besides LB. In reality, I think we need backup LB help, as I am higher on Avery as many in here. I could easily see the starters at LB as:

    Will-Kirksey, Mike-Schobert, Sam-Avery

I do think they need to sign/draft depth..but here is where my bold prediction is going...

The Browns will sign Bradley Roby to fill the CB need

    Then...

The Browns will trade #17 and #48 and a 2020 second round pick to the Giants for Odell Beckham Jr.

There is a lot of smoke still billowing about the Browns and Giants. Lately, it seems like where there is smoke there is fire.

I am ok either way...I am not wishing for this to happen, I am not hoping that it doesn't happen, I am merely taking the reports and filling in a bold prediction.

LOL, I wanted to go there, but then I had to quell my thoughts... We still have to contend with Brady/Bellicheat, the Chiefs and Chargers. I think the Browns could become part of that group in 2019, but they still have a lot of work to do with this roster to get there. Honestly, with the moves they have already made, I could see 3 more wins from this team. Another 2-3 players and the wins should go up from there.

The one thing that could bring this all toppling down is if Austin Corbett is not a viable replacement for Kevin Zeitler. I like the trade, but he was a big piece to the offensive line.

    Roby's seasonal scores:

    For comparison sake... Ward - 78.9, Carrie - 66.9, Mitchell - 64.0, Gaines - 62.5 (Boddy-Calhoun - 62.9)

He clearly had a down season last year but it a year removed from a season not unlike Denzel Ward's last year (from a PFF.com standpoint).

That's a steep price to pay for Beckham... we getting something else back?

It's basically (2) firsts, which is the most likely price for him.

Im sticking to "The Browns will win 2 Super Bowls before another AFCN team wins 1".

I may be on an Island here but, I'll take a hard pass on this one.

I don't care what kind of talent he supposedly is, the headaches with him are just not worth it. I'd rather Dorsey take a WR in the first round rather than sign OBJ.:point:

You're probably right, but that's way too rich for my blood.
    #17 + #49 = 1,360
    #9 (BUF) = 1,350

Make that trade and give me Devin White at linebacker.

And if we still need to address wide receiver, we can:

    1. Convert Duke Johnson to full-time wide receiver
    2. Trade Duke Johnson (and a future pick) to get into the second round
    3. Trade our two third round picks (#80 + #95) to get into the second round (#59 overall fair value trade)
    4. Draft one (or more) receivers in the third

All right... no longer a "Bold Prediction" to call us the favorites in the division.

    Bold Prediction...

The Browns Break the record for number of sacks in a single season.

The Browns Break the record for number of sacks in a single game twice.

The Browns front seven have 3 players with double digit sacks.

The Browns front seven have 5 players with 8+ sacks.

    Miles Garrett reaches 18+ sacks.

You aren't necessarily on an island. I'm not so sure I would want to give up that much for a player that doesn't play QB... I am just wading through the smoke and coming to a logical conclusion. That's where it came from.

I've already said multiple times, I believe Baker Mayfield could win with 4 #2 type receivers. It's just that there is more talk out there than normal, which many times leads to fire.
