They initially think it's a woman ? 5) What California college does Catherine Trammell and Dr. Elizabeth Gardner attend in BASIC INSTINCT ? Seen a movie a ton of times. To me, the movie points to Beth as the killer, but it's a frame up by Catherine. However, Beth lies at key times to make it seem like she did it. If a guy is pointing a gun at me and tells me to take my hands out of my pockets, I'M DOING IT. Very odd there too. An severely underrated movie. Twisty, clever and Hitchcockian.
