phils had a lead in game 1 too and lost it. blue jays had all the talent, but the phils gave them a good run with a bunch of misfits and bums. curt schilling wasn't the curt schilling he was later in his career. their starters were awful but all had solid seasons when it mattered. many of their hitters were really bench guys who again came up big in the 1993 season. crazy to have beaten atlanta with jones, jones, maddux, glavine, smoltz and avery !
