-Three years left on his current deal, 2018-2021, 4 years $68 million total, $19 mil bonus at signing

    Year/Base/Pro-rated signing bonus/restructured bonus/roster bonus/total cap hit
    2018 - $915k/$3.8 mil/$3.25 mil/$0/$7.95 mil
    2019 - $12.6 mil/$3.8 mil/$3.25 mil/$2.5 mil/$22.1 mil
    2020 - $11.3 mil/$3.8 mil/$3.25 mil/$0/$18.34 mil
    2021 - $12.5 mil/$3.8 mil/$3.25 mil/$0/$19.54 mil

If traded, team he goes to would have his services for 3 years, at $12.6/$11.3/$12.5 mil respectively. Unless of course they want to restructure and give him more guaranteed money up front...........I doubt he'd turn it down!

  2. So how can he turn down Buff if true...they have his rights for 3 yrs...I don’t get it

Basically he threatened to not report to Buffalo, Buffalo wasn't going to give the #9 overall pick for someone who might not report so they pulled their offer. That's what I've pieced together through the many reports out there.

  4. Were they giving up #9?

I thought I saw a report on CBS that said the deal was in place for #9 but I can't find it now, so I might have mis-read it or it was a false report. Or a guess as to what was offered. I believe it said AB and pick #20 for #9, and another pick.

    RTTRUTH likes this.
  7. Here is the thing...it’s gonna be hard for him to get his cake and eat it too...either he wants out and accept the trade or stick it out w Pitt and play the season

Sounds like he'd be ok going to Oakland, and thats likely the team they are working to make a deal with...Gerry Dulac is reporting 3 teams are still in the running. Raiders, I've read the Packers are interested if the price is down to mid-level picks, no idea who the third team could possibly be. Jacksonville possibly? Or Miami? I'd imagine AB would be fine with any of those teams. It is possible that all offers fall through or are deemed too low to be accepted and he stays where he's at. Just don't find it very likely.

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder how many spots they could move up for that 4th round pick.

IF............IF that ends up being the trade, Pitt would have two #4 picks - one at the beginning (Raiders-draft value 104 pts), and one midway (their normal selection-draft value of 60 pts). Looking at the draft value chart, it would allow them...........if they wanted to and had a willing trade partner..........to move back into the first round anywhere from #26 overall to #32, by giving up one of those two 4th rounders. And if someone they really like falls to the mid/late 20's..........it would REALLY be worth it given their track record there and value of some players. Some notables that they've drafted toward the end of the first round:

    -Heath Miller 2005 (#30)
-Santonio Holmes 2006 (moved up from #32 to #26)
    -Cameron Heyward 2011 (#31)
    -David DeCastro 2012 (#23)
    -TJ Watt 2017 (#30)

There's a chance that player could still be available with their natural selection at #35, which would give them the option of staying put if a handful of players they still like are available with teams still picking near the end of round 1. They could then stay put at #35, make a selection.......and instead use one of their two fourths to move up into the top-10 of the 2nd round also. The two fourths gets them a lot flexibility.

  11. Marquise Brown in the late 1st round? Perfect replacement for A Brown

  12. smcndfan Franchise Player Steelers

Jason La Canfora reports Antonio Brown wants $18M-$20M per year on his new deal.

And FULLY GUARANTEED..............all of it. Keep dreaming AB. Or if he insists on that.............trade value back to ZERO.

If those are truly his demands, he's staying in Pittsburgh or retiring...Not even the Raiders will give up a high draft pick and agree to that contract. His end game has to be to get released. Nothing else makes any sense.

  16. He wants to get released and go to the Browns
