Who said it? I probably shouldn't even ask or get into this conversation as I am so far biased it isn't funny...but "not so bad"? That's the understatement of the year possibly. He broke the rookie TD record playing only 13.5 games.
He was/is / and will be great. but in the beginning there was some talk of him not being great. I think he has already proven most wrong and he's only going to get better.
To call him great right now would be wrong. He could possibly be great. He was good this year and really good at times. He also had moments where he was bad. He performed better than I thought he would. But using the word great at this point is way way way way too soon.
Well, its just an opinion I, think Baker did a great job given the team he had. Next year will be very interesting, I think he and the Browns will improve and even be better.
Washington gets Case Keenum in swap of late-round picks... WOW! Washington didn’t have to give up much to get quarterback Case Keenum. It sent a sixth-rounder in 2020 to Denver, with Washington getting the Broncos’ seventh-rounder in 2020, Mike Klis of Denver’s 9News reports. Keenum got a reworked contract, with the Broncos paying him a $500,000 restructure bonus as well as $3.5 million of his $7 million guaranteed salary, according to Klis. Washington will pay the other $3.5 million of Keenum’s guarantee. Keenum is scheduled to make $18 million in base salary this season. The deal becomes official Wednesday when the league year begins. Keenum, 31, will compete with Colt McCoy for the starting job in Washington. He became expendable in Denver after the Broncos acquired Joe Flacco in a trade with Baltimore. Keenum spent only one season with the Broncos, going 6-10 with 18 touchdowns, 15 interceptions and an 81.2 passer rating. (PFT)
AB is going to Buffalo! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...-closing-in-on-trading-antonio-brown-to-bills Have no idea what the Steelers are getting in return. Hope its pick number 9, but more likely it will include overall pick #40 AB is calling it fake news. Rapoport doesn't exactly have the greatest track record for accuracy...Now I am starting to question it...hope it is true
I hope it involves pick #9 going to the Steelers. Not sure though. I would be ecstatic if it was AB and pick 20 for Buffalo's pick #9. Oakland offered a 2 and a 4, so it should be better than that. I'm thinking a 2, 4 and a conditional pick next year
Yeah I definitely can't see the #9 overall pick. I think if you get pick 40 and anything, then it should be considered a victory. The steelers will definitely be far less intimidating on offense without Brown, but you simply cannot keep him on the team.
I agree pick #40 is more likely, but its late and don't kill the dream yet lol Depending on what they do in FA and the draft it could be a long year. Maybe it forces a more balanced attack, and makes the team better. Lots of hoping and dreaming though
Bert Breer just said that AB himself wont go to Buffalo and that the market for him isnt as big as most seem to think. Also reports that the Steelers essentially have a 4 team no-AB-trade list including their 3 division foes and NE. Would have to think, or at least hope, theyd be hesitant to move him to KC or the Chargers as well. AB is a dink.
I'm guessing this is never going to happen... AB is the enemy of the Steelers. Either you want to play football for a contender (hence, stay home), or all you care about is money so don't stop a trade that will get you that money. Franchises that are run properly wouldn't trade for you in the first place. He has taken all aspects of trade value out of the equation. I think the Steelers have 2 options...Tell his agent to get his client in line and apologize to every employee in Pittsburgh on his way through the building...or shut the F up and go wherever you can get any type of draft pick as compensation and move on. Honestly, unless he becomes Super Man and starts scoring TDs every damn week, I don't know how he's going to win back that locker room. I'm not sure I have ever witnessed a more self centered player in the NFL.
