This (well that and time restrictions) are why I didn't want to take on a second team... The Giants are bad enough this year who knows what dark hell awaits on another teams roster...

@Tim Are the "rules" available anywhere? I am trying to remember the specifics regarding restructures in particular. Was it at least 2 years remaining on the contract to be eligible for a restructure?

Nothing is off the table for Oakland, including potentially trading Derek Carr. Just putting it out there.

I'm checking in as the Bills GM.

It was asked above, and I'm desperately in need of the rules because I really do not have much of a clue for what I've gotten into.

    Otherwise, Let's go Buffalo!

New York Giants are willing to move almost anyone currently on the roster (at least those it's feasible to move...). If you are interested in a player shoot me a message.

Well boys my real life Giants are letting a 25 year old 3 time pro bowler, their best defensive player and my current favorite Giant walk... So I am getting out the Bourbon and making some spiteful decisions tonight!

Any player not named Saquan Barkley is for sale if you are interested... And whoever runs the Cardinals -- if you are crazy enough to talk about trading Rosen shoot me a message.

Ur gonna be really upset if this rumor is true...
OBJ traded to Browns for Ogbah, Zietler, 2nd rd and 4th rd pick.

I am not even going to lie. If this happens I will drive to the local hardware store, pick up some pitch forks and torches (not tiki brand!) and drive my ass the 400 miles to start a riot outside John Mara's window. Who's coming with me?!? UGH the more I think about it the more that doesn't feel like enough... Maybe I'll have to swing by the army navy surplus as well.

Good for the Browns though I guess. Baker to OBJ good luck AFC North, you are going to need it.

It’s really not quite enough. If it’s true I’d say either Gettleman or Shurmur was desperate to get rid of OBJ. Because you didn’t do it for that haul. That said, you get help in both trenches, and a 2nd rounder ain’t half bad. Having OBJ there wasn’t in itself creating wins, so...

Edit: now just really curious if that’s true

Statistically speaking OBJ accounts for 6 points per game. It's an absurd number. But more than that he also accounts for the only freaking reason Eli Manning wasn't banished from NFL stadiums 4 seasons ago. He carried the offense and when he wasn't out there or couldn't do it Eli looked, well, as bad as he has become. It's mind boggling to me that the guy who has managed to prop Eli up into something that almost resembles an NFL QB if you squint is being discussed in trades while Eli, who hasn't been a top 20 passer in 3 seasons and is 38 freaking years old is somehow untouchable.

Honestly it makes me feel bad. I don't hate Eli, he's a franchise legend and came up biggest when the lights were brightest. But he is somehow being allowed to hold this franchise hostage.

Also I was very much on the record about hating Gettleman when he was hired, hating his approach to roster building and his complete and utter disregard for things like analytics, positional value, and working to gain value in draft picks. An above average guard a middling DE a 2 and a 4 for a guy who has been breaking records since he stepped on a football field and is the best player the Giants have had since Lawrence freaking Taylor? This is a public embarrassment. And I believe it to. Because Gettleman simply doesn't like him or anything that had anything to do with Jerry Reese. A guy who wasn't good enough -- but brought the Giants two damn rings and beat Gettleman out for the GM job the first time...

Side note where did you see the actual picks called out? I have only seen Ogbah, Zeitler, & "picks" actually floating around out there.

A QB can’t hold a team hostage. Blame Mara for that. I’m on record saying they should have drafted Darnold last year.
Well, them and any other team needing a QB in the top 10 who had a shot.

That said, I hate the Gase hiring by NYJ. Give Gase 2-3 years and we’ll be viewing Darnold like we currently view...maybe a Blake Bortles. Or perhaps a Ryan Tannehill. Mostly eh.

Well yes blame Mara. I blame him for a lot these days. But Mara was on board with seeing what was behind Eli. Then Eli benched himself and cried at a press conference. Then the head coach and GM got fired in season and Mara hired a HC and GM who don't seem to see a single flaw in Eli's game...

I certainly hope the key word in that ^^^^^ is "rumor".
