You seriously don't get the point?

The point is, the Steelers currently have players questioning aspects of the organization and that is causing distraction after distraction. You used Danny Amendola as your example of "players can question the organization, even in a perceived functional organization"...yet that organization moved on from said example and THEY went on to win the Super Bowl that same year, while the one questioning the organization watched the playoffs from home...just like the Steelers players, whether they were the ones questioning the process or not.

One organization nips the questioners from their organization, the other "seems to" not be taking care of business in house. Obviously none of us have access, but since it continues to happen, Tomlin is not doing nearly as much as he needs to to quell the situation(s) popping up.

    That is the point.

The example you gave...the Patriots moved forward without Amendola and tied the Steelers for Lombardis, while the Steelers are now being talked about in the same breath as the Browns, not Super Bowl contenders.

The OP said current (not sure who he means) and EX-PLAYERS. I have seen ex-players questioning decision making and leadership. So I gave an example of an ex-player questioning Belichick's decision making and leadership - something I think we both agree is pretty stupid.

Also your timeline is messed up. Amendola didn't leave because the organization moved on from his comments. He left for more money and then the comments came afterwards. But even if that were the timeline that's exactly what Tomlin did with Harrison. He moved on and now Harrison is butt hurt and is one of the former players questioning his leadership. This is the same guy who refused to talk to the media when he was a player and now is running around talking to anyone who will listen.

What are the odds we take a wide receiver in the first round? I keep hearing that we are looking at the top wide receivers so I guess that means their interested in one early??!!

If we trade Brown it becomes very real.

  7. No need....Baker, Sweat, Bush or if somehow he falls White

Even if/when Brown is traded, I wouldn't look for a receiver until the 2nd at the earliest, depending on compensation from the Brown trade. 1st round needs to be either ILB or CB.

Would rather see a defensive play-maker or OL depth in the first round.

    #fireAB84

His replacement can be got in the 2nd/3rd.

  10. OL depth in 1st round? They have more crying needs

I think they need to go ILB or CB in the first. Devin White and Devin Bush will probably be gone by #20 so go CB

White is likely a top-10 pick, unless the Titans trade their 1st for AB, Steelers have no chance in hell at him. #20 is about right for Bush. I like Wilson more than Bush, but Bryan Murphy might be a target at 20. Everything depends on the AB trade, if there is one.

    Now Sweat a 6’6” DE ran a 4.41 forty

I don’t know much about the guys being drafted. I heard Devin Bush has a good combine and is fast. It seems like a good ILB or CB should be there at #20. If the Steelers get a first round pick for AB hopefully they can get one of each.

They need to do something in free agency this year. ILB, CB, WR or even a backup RB.

ILB in round 1 might be moot because both White and. Bush could be gone .

Greedy Williams tests well. Byron Murphy tackles well and had the smoothest backpedal at the Combine. 4.55 speed isn’t explosive. I think Sweat and Metcalf although physical freaks , they should have had more success in College , I say they are boom or bust. Rashan Gary I’m also feeling like he’s the next Vernon Gholson.

Real good talent coming out of NC State. Bradbury
Flew up the boards but look at a mauling OG in Jerrone Prescod, WR2 Jakobi Meyers, and ILB Jermaine Pratt.

IMHFO weak class at RB lots of gaps in talent level past Damien Harris. RB out of Washington State catches everything.

  17. I’m not impressed w Greedy or Murphy after reviewing film....I still like Baker at corner the best....also I feel Bush will be there but if he isn’t Pitt needs to look at a possible trade down

  18. Some sleepers I like are Barnes(RB), Jamal Davis(OLB late rounds), Winovich(OLB), Thornhill(S 3rd round) and J Layne(CB 3rd round)

  19. nybites M.V.P. Steelers UCONN

    I like Winovich as well.
