I agree completely. It's an odd choice to just let him walk for free.

  2. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

Especially if he was, in fact, in Gregg Wiliams' dog house. Gregg is no longer here.

That would indicate that the "report" was likely entirely speculative and bullshit. If we're placing our faith in Dorsey as a talent evaluator, that would directly contradict the idea that Boddy-Calhoun's playing time was a casualty of Gregg Williams' preference. That is especially true if, as much of this fan base does, we're giving Dorsey credit for moving Hyde so that Chubb could get on the field, despite any coaching preferences. None of those thoughts are congruous with the "report" cited.

Also, haven't seen it discussed much yet, but...

MKC hitting us with all this. Not entirely clear what the end-game is for Jamie Collins, based on her reporting, but...
So something will be happening, that much is evident.

No doubt! He's 25 and playing at a peak level.... What are the Giants doing? That surprises me.

Good day for Jarvis Landry. He's been on the recruitment trail hard and heavy today on social media.

Not sure I'd go after Weddle, but Barron is an intriguing option.

Would love to see Dorsey get Collins into talks, but may be a bit more expensive that Dosrsey would like to spend.

I'd also like to see if they could get Mosley in the door as well.

Any 1,2 or 3 of those guys would be a boon for the Defense.

With all the franchise tags being placed, it was looking like a bleak free agency was going to be even weaker...with some of these cuts, at least it will be interesting.

Your memory is pretty good. I was pounding the table for him in the old Steelers War Board days and couldn't convince my Steelers brethren to elevate him above Brooks Reed.

Would be a good addition. Problem is he just can't stay healthy.

Signing him would depend on how much and how his physical turns out.

I've been hearing this all morning, then Aditi Kinkhabwala was just on 92.3 the fan and said she actually heard, Zeitler, Ogbah and a third player for Beckham..she said she contacted someone in the Giants organization just about laughed her off the phone and said the Giants would be the laughing stock if they did that.

I think there's a real chance where there's smoke there's fire, but according to her, that wouldn't be proper compensation for Beckham.

Honestly, I think Lyman's amooutn is about right for him...

We have all talked about replacing Ogbah. We discussed above, thanks to @TopDawg , a reasoning behind replacing Zeitler with Corbett. So, it comes down to how much would Beckham help the Browns? I think we would all agree he would be a huge help to the offense...Moreso than a 2nd round draft pick and the 4th rounder would be a throw in at this point. The roster is improving, so I don't expect many 4th rounders to help out as starters any time soon.

    Giants get:
Kevin Zeitler 28, team friendly deal through 2021, Browns are on the hook for $7.2M in 2019, the Giants pay 2019 $10M, 2020 $10M, 2021 $12M for a plug and play player
Emmanuel Ogbah 25, on the last year of his rookie deal, Browns pay $750k, Giants pay $1.35M and would need to sign him to a long term deal to retain him
#49 and #120 picks overall in the 2019 draft

    Browns get:
    Odell Beckham Jr. 26, on a long term deal costing the Giants $16M in dead cap, Browns 2019 $17M , 2020 $14.25M , 2021 $15.75M, 2022 $15M, 2023 $15M (Landry #s)

So, the question is...can Ogbah be replaced, pretty easy..yes

You would basically be replacing Perriman with Beckham Jr.....that would be a "Wow" in the upgrade to the offense column, again, as long as Corbett really is ready and just being held back by the fact there are pro bowl caliber players in front of him.

I'd be happy with this deal.

The next question would be, how do you replace 5 sacks? That's Ogbah's production...

Justin Houston is 30, but he averages over 8 sacks per year, albeit from the 3-4 OLB position... Is there anything holding him back from staying on his feet, even in a 4-3 alignment?

Let me make myself crystal clear . . .

I would not even consider the Zeitler, Ogbah, 2nd and 4th for OBJ trade. Not for a New York second!
