Not seeing a blowout by any stretch. When has NE EVER blown anyone out in a Super Bowl? Their last 3 Supes? Loss to Philly, fortunate to win against Atlanta, fortunate to win against Seattle.
None of the Brady/Belichick Patriots Super Bowl games has been a blow outs on either side of the equation. Question is if the Rams shut the patriots run game down can they get to Brady? If not it may be a long day for them. The Chiefs didn't get to him and they were second in the league in sacks. I think the closest they got to him all night was the play that resulted in a phantom roughing the passer call. Of course Stats from the regular season dont always mean anything. The chiefs were one of the best at not giving up sacks in the regular season (5th fewest) and the Patriots were tied for second fewest sacks with 30 but in the AFC championship game they got to Mahomes for 4 sacks and I think 9 hurries.
Seems to me, both offenses should be capable of moving the ball. Might come down to who can make the big play or even the last team to touch the ball might pull it off. Its an interesting matchup/storyline how you have the dynasty with experience against the up and comers. Im leaning towards the experience here, personally. As someone mentioned previously, ST's will be a big factor... field position, kicking game too. Which reminds me... does anyone know if Zeurlien is 100%, if not, the kicking game for the Pats might win it. I don't have a team in it and quite frankly wouldn't mind seeing the Patriots get knocked off, but I just hope its a close, exciting game... not a boring 1 sided blow-out.
Great points... those two have the potential to really disrupt Brady. That is going to be fun to watch and that Pats O-line is fantastic... the war in the trenches will be huge.
I cant believe Suh hasnt had a better season every team out there is doubling Donald and yet Suh only managed 4.5 sacks and 4 tackles for losses through the regular season
Yep - other than last year, every Supe the Pats have been in have ended within 7 points. Second in sacks, but most of the season teams had to play catch-up against them. Overall the Chiefs D was lousy (24th in points, 31st in yards).
Not at all. Nor can I remember many players that were combine heroes that also went on to be the best players in their draft class.
how else can NFL teams scout college players then for the draft ?? ok so you hate the combine. what is your replacement idea then ? what other showcase is there for these kids to impress NFL teams to draft them then ?

Honestly the on field tests might be the LEAST important thing that happens at the combine. The athletic testing just confirms or makes you re-evaluate what you see in the tape. The combine gives teams to meet with a huge number of prospects in person and gives each player a thorough medical check. Both of those things are more important and it's the only time so many of these prospects will all be in the same place...
And believe me, BWW knows all about silly, pointless and annoying. lol! Just kidding. I think Xinik nailed it. Also it gives the teams a chance to talk to these guys and just see what kinda person they are. This isn't some gimmick for TV. Even most sports enthusiasts consider it boring....There is value to the NFL Combine. It allows GM's to confirm speed and strength.
Megatron was a stud before the combine though....it's not like he went to the combine and unknown and then everyone suddenly realized how great he was. And for every Johnson....there are dozens of Stephen Hill's.
