I was appalled to not see a "hitsquad" or "Goodsquad" option here (seebs guys will know what I'm talking about.) I chose bandwagon fans, but after thinking about it, I'd have to say the worst kind of fans are the crybabies, more specifically, the ones that cry about bad calls and how their team would've won, had that one call not gone against them. Idc how egregious the call is, if your team allows the refs to decide the game, then the team is to blame for not doing enough to separate who should've won. Yes, it was a bad no call on the Rams defensive back, but the Saints needed to have a short memory and had ample opportunity to overcome that call. Yes, Dez Bryant caught the ball, and the cowboys would've went up on the Packers, but I remember just the week before when the refs randomly picked up a flag on Bruce Carter (I think that's who it was) penalty that had a major impact on the outcome of that game.

First game I saw live was Kenny Anderson versus Brian Sipe, down in Cincinnati...I was about 10. My dad would take me to a couple games a year back in those days. I like a lot of the QB's from that era, and got to see a lot of the greats play. Roger Staubach, Kenny Stabler, Jim Plunkett, Dan Pastorini, Terry Bradshaw, Dan Fouts, were just a few of the good ones I got to see play live when I was a kid.
I lived in Atlanta when Barkowski played. The only time he made the playoffs is when he had William Andrews running the rock. Those are the seasons Bartkowski made the pro bowl. I don’t know if I would call him underated.
To me, one of the biggest mysteries of the '60's QB's was Bengals QB Greg Cook. When healthy (he only lasted one season due to a shoulder injury), he sure had the look of a rising star.
It was Jerry Glanville's "Grits Blitz" that got the headlines..,.They would man up on the outside and send 9 on about every play. lol! Great stuff.
Took a shot on the shoulder and they couldn't fix it...Pretty sad. They had Bill Walsh on the staff, and who knows what might have happened in Cincy if Cook hadn't blown out his shoulder. By all accounts, he was on his way to stardom.
"NitwitSquad" was the textbook definition of a "worst fan." Ostensibly a Steelers fan, he literally posted 10x more about Dallas and the Ravens and Peyton Manning and Terrell Owens - trashing them ad infinitum - that he did about his own team. Non-call was Anthony Hitchens.
Would anyone argue that in the 70's, it was the RB's that were the big stars? And somewhere in the 80's it sort of evolved over to WR's and QB's.... At least that's how I remembered it....Obviously there were stars everywhere, but I remember more kids wanting to be the next Walter Payton, Tony Dorsett or OJ Simpson, more so than the QB's and receivers of the era...My faves were Greg Pruitt, Chuck Foreman and "Sweetness". At least until Earl Campbell came along... The game just kept trending toward the passing offense throughout the years, and here we are today...
I think it all boils down to simply there are two kinds of people, good people and assholes... the worst fans are assholes and the good fans are good people... The end.
His father, Dub Jones, was a great Cleveland Brown halfback , helping us secure NFL chamionships in 1950, 1954 and 1955 as a player, then again in 1964 as a coach....
Tarkenton was my favorite player...I guess the QB's are always a focal point. My comment should have been more about RB's and WR's.
