    Okay, well I think it's safe to say I'm getting spring fever. It's been a long recovery for me this year from a major foot surgery I had in November. I'm about 75% if had to put a number on it. Point is, I've had a lot of time to research, and so anyway, I woke up this morning to school closings and fresh new blanket of ice and snow everywhere. So I figured, like most people, what a perfect day to buy a new bike. lol!;

The new ride is on the way...Still in the crate! The fever is real.

Needless to say, if we have nice weather this spring, this is really going to cut into my draft scouting....Just putting it out there.

Side note: FTR, It wasn't spur of the moment. I'm bored, so here's the short story. I just bought an older (2013) used version of that bike last spring, so I was in no hurry. I've been going back and fourth with a salesman ever since I made the mistake of test riding the new one last fall.... One issue was, they didn't have the particular model I wanted in stock anywhere. So anyway, after they finally got (close enough) to the number I wanted for my trade, the dealer informed me he can get the new one, still in the crate, from one of Honda's two regional holding facilities. Evidently, one is in Chicago, and the other is in Pittsburgh....I've had my fingers crossed all day...Just got a call, and I'm happy to report, there were none available in Pittsburgh, but they located two in Chicago....Whew! Silly? Yes. But IDC, I just didn't want it to start out like that. lol!..It'll take a little longer to get here, but that's fine. I don't care for riding much under 50 degrees anyway...:)

If it was in Pittsburgh the bike would be Championship caliber

I love dogs, and I love that the Browns embrace the dawg theme with these guys....Very cool.

    Tough argument:

Chicago Championships - 9 NFL, 3 MLB, 6 NBA, 1 MLS and 6 NHL for a total of 25 Major Professional Sports Championships
Pittsburgh Championships - 6 NFL, 5 MLB and 5 NHL for a total of 16 Major Professional Sports Championships

So, I think he's getting the bike in the right place, if THAT was the issue.

Browns losing some front office personnel. Does this mean that Haslem is giving Dorsey more responsibility?

I just finished upgrading my DirecTV system to a whole house 100% digital system that included their latest and greatest High Def receiver/DVR. This system has a function where, if you set your favorite teams, they send you a message that alerts you that an upcoming program involves one of your teams. I lost all of the Browns games I had recorded last year as they were stored on the old DVR (including Hard Knocks).

At least I now have the Browns / Jets game on the new DVR. :OK:

I'll be honest, my DVR is the ONLY thing I have missed about cutting the chord.

I've been able to watch all tv shows via on-demand..I have more movie channels than ever before and am saving roughly $90 a month...but no DVR is rough because I liked to watch the Browns games at least twice, sometimes more if I had a reason to. Only watching them live makes me appreciate it a little more though...and I do use some websites to go back and watch aspects of the games I can find.. But, that is what I miss the most.

You can get a stand alone DVR (such as TiVo). Don't have a clue how salty they are or how much of a PITA they are to install. But if you're saving $90 a month, I can't imagine the payback would be any more than three months. Just a thought.

. . . or is Dorsey forcing the added responsibility by not trying too hard to keep these guys here?

(Similar to forcing Chubb into the starting role by trading Hyde.)

What service are you using? How much is it? Would I be able to watch out of market games?

I get my internet through Spectrum(cable)$60/mo. Then I have a spectrum streaming service $25/mo, that includes local channels and 10 ala cart channels, I have to use two of these on NFL Network and ESPN. As long as I don't cancel this plan, I get HBO, Showtime, Encore, Starz and The Movie Channel for $15/mo...I used to pay $15/mo for HBO and $12/mo for Showtime. Then we also have Amazon Prime and Netflix, which we have always had, even before we cut the chord.

I DO NOT have access to any NFL programs to see out of market games. What ever is on the local channels is what I get. However, where I live, we get Toledo OH local and Cleveland OH local..so, I always get all Cleveland games and also get all Lions games...then what ever national/regional games are played on 3 different channels, so I get a lot of different games just out of dumb luck that I live almost exactly between Toledo and Cleveland.

During MLB season, I also subscribe to Sling Orange to get my Indians games, $20/mo, so during baseball season it is less than $90/mo savings, but it's still huge savings.

The beauty is, I can use all of these services on all of my smart tvs in the house, phones, iPads, computers, etc... We have 5 TVs in the house, all are smart tvs and so I can start watching something in one room, pause it and watch it somewhere else in the house if I want.

I can honestly say, I've never sat down on any given night and not had anything to watch...Like I said, the only thing I miss is my DVR

I've looked into stand alone DVRs...TiVo has another monthly charge and it needs a source to pull the shows from, streaming doesn't work. They make special DVRs that work with streaming services, but it doesn't work with all of them and they also have monthly fees. The true standalone DVR(think old VCRs) also need a hard line source to record, so cutting the chord pretty much made them obsolete for me. I could "tape" Browns games from a offline antenna through that type of device though...I've considered it.

Thanks for the answer. I can try to get Sunday Ticket through my grandson, because they have a option for college students online. And then save the rest of my cable bill. All cable satellite services suck. If it wasn’t for the Sunday ticket I would have given direct the boot already.

NFL rewind is probably more affordable than any of those options and you get games all the way back to 2009 - including coaches film.
