Most of the people that come post there aren't looking for peace. They are looking to stir shit up. And some of them (cough-you-cough) go on to cry like little bitches when they are unsuccessful. Some also turn into childish stalkers and tend to follow me around making desperate, cheap comments every chance they can. This is also you, in case you're wondering.
Think I went to another fans' board once, and that was to bust a specific person's chops. I think it's a pretty sad practice to go some place that's not your own just to make you feel better about yourself.
Cry Baby (Their team never looses its always the refs) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I voted this. But they not only bitch about the refs They also bitch about the "fact" that head guy of the NFL (name your year) has it in for them. You know who they are. The consperisy mongers. I remember when the Oakland Raiders moved from there to LA. Every time the Raiders lost a big game after that ??? Goodell. He did it. How the hell does ONE person control the outcome of a football game ????? What hell is this ?? The wizard of Oz movie ??? "Don't pay attention to that man behind the curtain" There IS no man behind the curtain !!! Shit happens !! I'm a Saints fan !! I'm qualified to say that !!!
i want to have a write-in worst person -- the person who stands up in front of your seat and won't sit down the entire game and then when asked to sit down he claims "i paid for this seat!" seen this happen a lot at events. at Heinz Field last year so idiot was calling his buddy on a cell phone, standing up and telling him can he see him? apparently his buddy was several sections away. the guy did this for 10 min. a security guard came down and tapped him on the shoulder three times and the guy didn't even acknowledge the guard. fans kept telling him to sit down as he was in row 3 of the end-zone and he yelled back that he paid for the seat and he came do what he wants. the guy was well above 30. so your buddy can see you? who cares? sit down !
Can I elaborate on this...The fan that goes to a professional/college football game and complains that the guy in front of them is standing (along with 30,000-96,000 other fans) during an exciting game. I'm not talking about YOUR guy who is standing when everyone else is sitting...but the guy who is texting security on a guy who is standing along with the majority of every other fan in the stadium. (edit) If you want the best line of sight, stay home and watch it on the your big screen TV.
yeah that is bad. my guy was the only one standing saying "look at me waving to you" on his cell phone. he wasn't a little kid either. he was like 35.
I'll say, fans that just don't understand how elite a player has to be in order to reach all the way to the NFL Hall of Fame...
or any Hall of Fame ? i posted someone on this site about Steve Young. I think he's a Hall of Famer down the road, but not first ballot. to me there's a difference of first ballot guys in all sports in their HOF's and other members of the HOF.
i know topdawg. i meant when he got in. i didn't think he should've been a first ballot hof'er when he got in.
When Steve Young was voted into the HoF, he had the following credentials; Seven consecutive years as either 1st or 2nd team All-Pro. (1992 - 1998) NFL MVP twice (1992 and 1994). NFL passing leader (TD's) four times (1992, 1993, 1994 and 1998). NFL passing leader (Rating) six times (1991 - 1994, 1996 and 1997). I think most people would disagree with you.
Not sure how I could've interpreted that any other way, but okay...I won't argue that there's a difference between first ballot guys. There are "no doubters", and then there are guys that get in later. They should all be considered elite players. It's not an easy achievement, regardless of the wait.
oh hell being a pro athlete is an achievement in itself, letting alone being a HOF'er. i saw this stat once...of every player drafted or played pro baseball only 2% make the HOF. Ever ! Wow. Being a pro is one thing, being a HOF player is something different. My brother's college roommate played in the major leagues for 7 or 8 years. he was nothing special but still made it. he won a AAA World Series and his ring is huge. He also threw a minor league no hitter and was in Sports Illustrated. that's incredible. As cool as that is -- being a HOF'er is well beyond that.
true Jean. I think baseball ruined it for everyone as their first HOF class were 5 of the games immortals. Hey, not everyone is Babe Ruth or Walter Johnson or Ty Cobb, but they were still pretty damn good. Not everyone is a Michael Jordan or Jim Brown or Johnny Unitas, but that doesn't mean they don't belong in the HOF.
Just curious, who is the baseball player? yeah, I don't understand how any player that reaches the career pinnacle of HoF, can be considered anything other than elite....Some people just don't get it.
As pointed outjin the other thread Joe namath not elite. Others were listed as well but no need to go over them again in a another thread.
Only if you want to continue to be ridiculous jq.... I completely obliterated your first four "examples" with actual career facts......So what else do ya got?
The fact that ya bring it up again is comical...You're right that there's no need to go back over the others either. Your take is nonsense.
