You know what, Gid? Those antique trophies from the prehistoric days count the same as the trophy named after a dead coach. An NFL Championship is an NFL Chamionship. Period.

So, get the fuck off of that pompous bullshit!

That's a helluva way for Dee Ford to wind it up in KC, if he does move on in Free Agency...I kinda felt bad for him, but WTH? How does that even happen in such a crucial situation? He was lined-up a foot offsides...smh. Chiefs fans aren't gonna forget..... That was pretty brutal.

I feel for him because of how much the game has changed at that position. Same thing Myles Garrett has to deal with. You've got a six inch strike zone in which to hit the quarterback. The opposing tackle is legally allowed to hold, maul, and trip you on every play, and your job is to put pressure and get the sacks.

The league has gone so far in protection of the quarterbacks and favor of the offense that EDGE guys aren't really there for sacks any more... they're there to speed up the play and force things back inside for the interior defensive line guys to rack up those sacks and TFLs.

Bottom line, the Chiefs had them in 3rd and long in OT, and Brady threw incomplete. The drive was stopped. This just can't happen. If Dee Ford doesn't line up a foot into the neutral zone, KC gets the stop they desperately needed, and a red hot Patrick Mahomes gets a shot...Instead, Pats get another play, Brady finds Gronk inside the five, and it's lights out for the Chiefs...It was a backbreaking penalty.

    Well this one is gaining steam, undoubtedly due to the Todd Monken connection, but might not be a bad addition at all;

It has been 3 days since teams could sign players with current expiring contracts or under contract for their final year in 2019...Randall doesn't have an extension and Perriman doesn't have a new contract.

11 days until the NFL Scouting Combine begins

26 days until the new league year opens for trading and signing free agents.

    Interesting...That's a big WR.

I remember you were high on him coming out of ASU...

Interesting signing... I was actually very high on Jaelen Strong entering the draft...but he has shown absolutely nothing since being a 3rd round draft pick 4 years ago.

So now we got Jaelen Strong and Derrick Willies in the mix. That's two big tall WR targets for Mayfield. I don't know if D.K. is in Dorsey's sights or not, but at least he does seem to be trying to get Baker one of those big prototype bodied receivers. That's what I've been wanting. Maybe one of these guys takes the next step up. Landry, Callaway, Higgins and Njoku are a handful as it is. Not to mention that RB trio, all capable of gashing defenses in the passing game. This really is a dangerous group of skill players. We just need that final piece to be unstoppable...lol! Seriously. This thing has the potential to be scary good.

I hope you're talking about defense :SEP:

FWIW, I'm expecting Steve Wilks to make a big difference...Our philosophy of sacrificing yards in an all out concerted effort to cause turnovers, is just not the way I'd like to see us approach it....

Here's a name I don't think we've discussed. This excerpt is from an article about each team's ideal F/A target

    Cleveland Browns: LB K.J. Wright

    8 OF 32

The Cleveland Browns enter the 2019 season with more optimism at this point in the season than they've had in many, many years.

However, if the Browns are going to keep their positive momentum going and challenge for a playoff spot next year, the team needs to shore up some weaknesses—chief among them the linebacker position.

With high-priced veteran Jamie Collins a potential cap casualty and Christian Kirksey coming off an injury-marred season, it's at outside linebacker where the Browns need the most help.

The 29-year-old Wright played in just five games last year thanks to a balky knee, but in each of the four seasons preceding it, Wright played in at least 15 games and posted over 100 tackles.

Wright's a capable linebacker with experience playing both outside spots in a 4-3 set, and he's a veteran presence with a Pro Bowl nod on his resume.

And with the fourth-most cap space in the NFL, Cleveland has plenty of wiggle room to take a run at him.
