i was in Rite-Aid yesterday, which is a Pharmacy store, and there was a young girl in there wearing a Doctor's mask over her face to i guess keep away germs? really ? has it come to that? i felt like slapping her, but i didn't say anything. she looked ridiculous. that mask ain't saving you from anything.

Were you IN the grocery store and dogs are permitted? I think in the US the dog has to be in a carrier or be some sort of working dog to have free access to grocery stores.

 

This is a common enough behavior in NYC especially during flu season. True, it is more pervasive in the Asian communities, but it’s seen throughout the racial spectrum here.

Sometimes people who take meds that lower their immune system will require extra protection. It’s not terribly silly when you think about the few who could possibly require it to help them stay healthy.

 

The grocery store is on the ground floor of an office building with the same entrance door at the front as the grocery store. One girl was heading to the elevators and the other going the other way and the fireworks went off. I was at the tables in the store which has no entrance doors, all open concept and about thirty feet from the incident.
