Sports, or more specifically the Bears, are a refuge for me to get away from politics and all the other crap that goes. Especially living here in the Beltway and my work directly tied to the federal government, it's maddening. If politics continues to encroach on sports it will be harder for me to maintain interest in the long-run and I'll have to find another refuge from the DC madness elsewhere.
I've just been skimming through the boards over the last few weeks, overwhelmed with work, etc. However, this absolutely caught my eye - because I identify with it so damn much. Started talking football with some of you fucks 15 years ago. I was 13 then, just turned 28. I don't think I started posting right away, but I was still around. I've been talking football with all you guys longer than I've done most things in my life. Cheers, all. Pretty damn cool.
Yeah, sorry brother, but i think we just have to accept we lost on that one. We fought a good fight, but that Rams game was our Alamo. See how next season goes, i may try to regroup and wage a guerilla campaign around the week of the Raiders game
Yo slacker, i pm'd you ages ago about HK. Included my loose schedule, let me know if you're about for a beer.
Same thing, thanks for quoting him out so I don't have to. I've got too much going on like most of you, and the draft is far less interesting without the picks this year so will probably only check in every month or so. I agree it was pretty sad I had to start the Nagy CoTY thread, as meaningless of a title as it is. But I didn't have an option in the poll, I cared enough to at least post it.
