huge freaking difference between gordon and wentz here. can't believe you just compared them. wentz is the leader of the freaking team, who got hurt on a running play. gordon is drug addict who was suspended indefinitely by the NFL for his actions.
if you're on the team to a certain point you get a ring. the old rule or new rule is you have to be on the playoff roster to get a ring. when the Phils won in 08 they weren't going to give rings to 2 players who played in the summer, but were not on the playoff roster in october. one bitched, so they caved in.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...-domestic-dispute-in-january-no-arrests-made/ Antonio Brown in a little domestic spat. man this guy can't stay out of trouble. either from the steelers locker room or away from the team. Does his trade stock drop ?
Washington has had preliminary contract talks with Adrian Peterson... Adrian Peterson said earlier this week he was playing “next year for sure,” and the running back added he hoped to play for another “two or three more years.” Washington is working to assure that he plays next season there. The team has had “preliminary talks” with the running back about a return for 2019, John Keim of ESPN reports. Peterson, who turns 34 in March, is scheduled to become a free agent next month. He didn’t sign his one-year deal for 2018 with Washington until Aug. 20, waiting until just before the season. He ended up with his first 1,000-yard season since 2015 with 1,042 yards and averaged 4.2 yards per carry. Washington also will see the return of Derrius Guice from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. (PFT) __________ ________________________ A healthy Guise and Petterson with others should make a decent backfield for the Skins.
no arrest, the report is very ambiguous as to the details. Sounds like a verbal fight, so I do not think this by itself drops its value. And lets be real, if walking out on your team when there is still a chance for the playoffs if they win that week doesn't drop the value, nothing will. So the walking out, combined with his actions since, looking stoned at the Super Bowl media day, combined with this domestic dispute I would have to say the value went from certain 1st round to hopefully a late 1st-2nd round pick.
The only way hos value drops is it becomes evident thensteelers willl cut him if they cant trade him. Otherwise he stays at the top of the listmin trade value. Unless of course there were to be video of him in a domestic dispute.
One other award from the big Awards Night ceremony that was overlooked... Ben Garland was named the Salute To Service Award winner. You can read about the nominees and the program here: http://www.nfl.com/labs/rr/salute/sts
It isn't the report that drops his value, it's the growing list of issues that could keep plaguing him and any team he is on. I'm thinking more and more that he ends up staying in Pittsburgh. They stayed with Roethlisberger through rape "allegations". It's going to cost too much to cut him...unless, like you said, there is a video somewhere that could escalate the situation. This is Pittsburgh's problem and I don't think anyone else wants to inherit it.
Prediction: Whether he sells it or loses it or trades it for a bong hit, somehow Josh Gordon will be separated from his SB ring within one year of possession...
I don't think it matters honestly. Both were part of a team that got them that far. Should it matter that he was drug suspended. He's technically still on the team so it's moot. If Gordon got injured instead would it be different? I don't think so. He's still on the team and was for the same amount of contribution. If he was a dick then the owner could tell him to F off of course but it's his perogative.
I see a big difference between getting injured, and getting suspended. Especially considering his history....Patriots needed Josh, and he let them down, right? If Pats wouldn't have included him on the SB ring list, would that have surprised anyone?
Ive read that the Patriots are footing the bill for his rehab and that Gordon could possibly be back as early as next season.
ya im assuming the only option for him is a 1 year short money deal. obviously the guy has thrown away a ton of money and fame already but missing out on a SB run has to be the last incentive that could turn him around, if thats possible.
