I have a lot of excitement for this current coaching regime. I truly believe they will finally bring success to this fan base..I will tell you why, I will also put it in the form below in case you don't want the LONG DRAWN OUT explanation littering up your message board.

I believe Baker Mayfield had more to do with the rise of Freddie, than the other way around, but in the end, who cares? They clearly have a great connection. It's really fun to think about where this duo can take us....

btw - ^^^ All I meant by that was, if we had drafted Sam Darnold or one of the other QB prospects, I don't believe Freddie would have ascended all the way to Head Coach...Back in August, who was Freddie Kitchens? He wasn't even on the radar.

His play calling was fantastic, and his meteoric rise impressive. But without the guy on the field executing like a boss, it just doesn't happen...

No question they compliment each other well...

This is the HC/QB combo that Browns fans have waited decades for....

That is EXACTLY what I meant by my post.... I think Baker Mayfield will make this coaching staff a lot of money over their careers.

Right now, when our new coach talks about winning, it carries weight....That isn't because this coach has higher aspirations, or has any better resume than the last coach we hired or the one before him....It's because now we have Baker Mayfield on the roster.

I really like Freddie, I'm just not sure he's ready. If being HC is about relationships, trust and respect, then he's the man. I hope that is what it's all about.

Don't get me wrong, I am truly happy about Freddie getting the job. I just think he has a lot to learn about being the man, but at the same time I think he knows he has a lot to learn, and embraces that process with humility, and will not hesitate to seek advice, counsel and suggestions from his staff, his team, and his management.

That's maybe what I like best about him: he is more than willing to share the credit. In fact he will insist on it. Some of our coaches are going to become hot commodities a year from now.

God bless you Freddie. Spread the word: I is a letter not a word.

Doesn't so much affect the AFC North, but the QB carousel this offseason should be a fun one to watch. I saw it floated that Cincinnati could be a landing spot for Ryan Tannehill. That would mean a departure from Andy Dalton (needed).

With only one clear-cut first round QB in the upcoming draft (Dwayne Haskins Jr.), the demand for second-rate QBs and former teams' starters could be pretty high this time around.

Worst things to happen to the Browns franchise (in its history), ranked:

    1. Mike Holmgren
    2. The Fumble
    3. Moving to Baltimore
    4. Hue Jackson
    5. The Drive

    I'd change it a little;
    1. Moving to Baltimore
    2. The Drive
    3. The Fumble
    4. Hue Jackson era (going 0-16)
    5. Randy Lerner
