What is the worst kind of fan?

By worst kind of fan I'm not asking for which team you think has bad fans so answers such as Ravens, Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers, UK wildcat basketball fans are not what we are looking for here. All fan bases can be good or bad fans. More specifically I'm asking which fan do you think is worse when it comes to the following types.

Cry Baby Fan: When you here this fans speak you would think his team has never actually lost a game that was their fault. He will blame the refs, the weather, injuries to his team, or even the alignment of the planets as the reason their team lost.

Over optimistic Fan: This one can show in a couple of ways one is at the beginning of every season they think not only will their team win it all but that they will go undefeated. How good the team actually is doesn't matter they will still argue with you that their team is better than your team (or any other team). Or during the game when they are down and have no shot to come back and win they will still sit there insisting their team can come back and win.

Band Wagon: Yeah don't think this one needs an explanation but basically this fan cheers for the hot team. When you ask who they cheer for in each different sport it will be the team(s) that have won at least one championship in the last 3 years

Multi Team Fan: This fan usually has multiple teams he cheers for. Sometimes its a first favorite team and a second favorite team or they will cheer for a team from each conference (or worse each division).

Overly Drunk Fan: Dont need much explanation for this one either its the guy(or gal) at the game or bar (hopefully not in your home) that has had way to much to drink and they are going to let everyone know about their team in the most drunken way possible.

Obnoxious Winner: The only time you hear from this fan is when their team beats your team. the rest of the time they don't even mention cheering for team X

Clueless Fan: This one tells you they cheer for team X but they cannot tell you a single player on the team either currently or historically. At the college level they cant tell you who the coach is. Often they cant tell you the teams nickname or mascot

Other: Got one I have not listed here then add them to the list.

 

Drunks can ruin every situation... guess what I voted.

 

Obnoxious winner, if you are a true fan you are never gone... you don't just show up to rub it in another fanbase' face... Although, this fan is usually the same fan that blames every loss on the ref... Granted some NFL losses in 2018 could be blamed on refs..

 

Was a toss-up for me between Obnoxious Winner and Cry-baby. Win with grace, lose with class.

 

Bandwagon since they are dirty cheaters of the fan system. But do they count as fans?

We also missed entitled fanbase fan who acts like a douche more than just normal trash talking. No, we don't hate you because we ain't you, it's because you are a douche in every situation and it's not just a few fans.

Mainly applies to Patriots fans right now but you've seen others in this sport and others.

 

I'd add "ATTENTION SEEKING FAN" to the list...You know who I mean. Face painters. Wig and costume wearers....These people that go to the game dressed like a fool, with no real appreciation of the sport, or any intention of paying attention to the football game. Their main goal is to get on TV or just be a spectacle in public.

All in all, I gotta agree with Will...Drunk fan is the worst. In fact, add alcohol to all those types of fans, and it makes them all worse.

 

The worst kind of fan is the ones that think you just have to live with being fucked over by the refs. The league is too close in talent levels to believe a couple of horrible calls/non calls from the refs couldn’t change the outcome of the game. There is no team in the league right now that couldn’t win a game against any other team in the league with two bad calls in their favor.

 

Yeah there were at least 4 Browns games where highly questionable calls had a major factor on the outcome...It's almost like, ya aren't permitted to speak of it.

The officiating was SO bad at the game I attended this year, that's all anyone was talking about. A dude got fired it was so bad....Yet, merely mentioning a bad call inevitably brings out these fans that want to thump their chest and tell you "it's just part of the game", as if you aren't aware...I hate that shit.

A bad call is a bad call...Refs make a lot of money, and IMO they should be called out when their performance is sub-par....These guys that immediately try to paint you as the "bitter high school football parent" if you dare question officiating, are being short sighted in many cases.

 

You would think after a ref got fired because of a bad false start in favor of the chargers that the same team wouldn’t benefit from the same false start non call to score a TD again. I personally am starting to believe that the league shoehorned the Chargers into the playoffs and the Rams into the SB, because they want to gain billions of dollars in revenue from advertising in the LA area. You have to have good ratings to get the money. The people in LA won’t watch unless their teams are winning. The idiots that are fans of our teams would watch no matter how screwed over we feel and whether or not our team makes the playoffs. We already are tapped out for the highest revenue dollars for advertising in our areas, but LA has a high ceiling that they haven’t touched yet. After all, sports are a business first before the actual playing of the games.

 

lol! That's right. I forgot the Chargers got you guys on a similar bullshit play....The thing is, in both cases, the play in question WAS the TD play. It didn't lead to a TD four plays later. It was THAT play. Very blatant...The TD in Cleveland happened when it was SO obvious, even the players stopped, which I know they shouldn't, but they are only human...

Your conspiracy theory is a little out there, but It really does make you wonder...Missing a pass interference is one thing, but missing it when the Left Tackle starts to backpedal in pass protection a half second before anyone else even moves, is a joke. Inexcusable...

 

There is a ref there watching the oline/deline before the snap. That is his job presnap, so what was he doing, texting or watching video on his phone? He surely wasn’t watching the line.

 

Don’t get me wrong TD. I don’t believe every false start non call needs to be reversed, but the two that the chargers had against our teams were way beyond simple false starts. The olinemen in those instants were like four steps in their backpedal before the ball was snapped.

If there was real rigging or favoritism, Dallas would have been in a couple Supes the last several years. The league would have fallen all over themselves to see a Cowboys-Patriots match-up.

He will only come to your board and brag when his team is winning. He cries like a baby when his team loses. He's a front runner and an excuse machine. He also wears a tin foil hat. He's obnoxious and clueless....and while he may not be drunk he's definitely drugged.

Bears fans are the worst. Alls they do is contradict everything anyone from another fan base says.

 

And the freaking reason I stopped posting on the Bears site is because you guys turn into raging a-holes when anybody that doesn’t root for the Bears post there.
