It's very early, so this is certainly subject to change, and undoubtedly it will after the Combine.

    Right now, I got it:

    1.D.K. Metcalf - Ole Miss
2 AJ Brown - Ole Miss
    3.Marquise Brown - Oklahoma
    4. Hakeem Butler - Iowa St.
    5. N'Keal Harry - Ariz St.

I don’t see you guys picking WRs in the first two rounds.

I agree...If they re-sign Higgins and Perriman, they might look for a developmental guy after round 2...If one or both decide to play free agency and leave...THEN we need to start doing some major research on this draft class, because then I believe #17 overall could come into play depending on who is available..

I believe it will be BPA in this draft, but I also believe they will favor positions if the right guy comes up. In other words, if they sign Higgins, Perriman and Robinson, WR and OT become a secondary priority to CB, DT, LB, DE...In that order, imho... So the best player available in that group becomes the name they write down I believe. I believe that line of thinking continues into round 2 as well. There are so many good DTs in this draft that if they go another route in the first round, I think one will be staring them in the face in the second round that they can't pass on....Then again, maybe 7 DTs go in the first round and only 2 QBs get picked..Never know what's going to happen on draft day. No way to even begin to gauge it either until the majority of free agency is finished.

It wouldn't shock me if we snagged a receiver in the first couple rounds. There is a lot of talent at WR in this draft...What happens with Higgins and Perriman could factor in, though I don't know that either would sway JD from a guy that he thought would be a true #1... I do expect the Browns to move off of some of those selections. Ten picks is a lot. Maybe move a little quantity for quality...At the end of the day, I just don't think there's any way to predict what Dorsey is gonna do. I knew he loved Mayfield, and he still fooled me into thinking we were taking Darnold...lol! Who knows? They had a fairly good write up on Browns draft needs on B/R, and they listed them in this order: DE (pass rusher), DT, OT, WR, CB.....You could reverse it, and none of it would surprise me.

I was looking at some of the top DT' prospects last night. We just might see 7 go in the first round....

I mentioned in the NFL Draft General Discussion Thread about just how deep I believe this class is at pass rushers.

I think we will see guys that typically would go in the top of the 3rd slide all the way to the top of the 4th because of teams reaching for positional needs over talent.

There is a whole lot of heat coming at quarterbacks next season out of this draft class.

I'm just looking at tendencies of Dorsey history of drafting WRs by round:
    2018 4th and 6th
    2017 None
    2016 4th and 5th(Tyreek Hill)
    2015 3rd and 7th
    2014 none
    2013 none

I meant not pick two WRs in rd 1&2 as someone had in a mocked in this thread.
I think there’s a good chance that you pick one though.

I used this same logic with running backs, swearing up-and-down we wouldn't take one in the first three rounds and we landed the best running back in the NFL (2018) with pick #35.

^^^^^ So now I'm using *that* logic to suggest we'll trade up in Round 2, select Hakeem Butler, and he'll be the next Calvin Johnson.

I think Baker's old teammate, Marquise Brown, could be a strong possibility if he makes it to round two. Ya can't deny they had great chemistry in 2017.....Probably the closest thing this draft has to a "Tyreek Hill type" player...Plus, if we were to sign Higgins, that would give us two WR's nicknamed "Hollywood", which would be pretty special.

Not the ideal size, but this kid is a baller...

Here's his story. Found it on NY Jets sight, but very interesting background...

Is it just me or does Marquis Brown look a lot like Terrell Owens (physical resemblance - not on field performance) ?

So we seem to have our QB situation set. Stanton (34) is signed for one more season to be back up....Seems clear that Tyrod will move on.

Does anyone think we might be looking in this draft to get a guy to eventually replace Drew? I don't think a mid round QB is completely out of the question... Probably nobody wants to talk about potential back-up quarterbacks, but we only have to look as far as the current league champion to see the importance....

They do a good job protecting QB's in this league, but it's still football....

Its definitely not out of the question. Even the best of the best can still get injured (look no farther than the Colts and Peyton Manning). The problem though, IMO, this is not a particularly ripe class for QB's in any round of the draft. So, we may have to keep our fingers crossed for another year.

On the contrary, though I agree there isn't a #1 overall pick QB in this draft, I think it is chock full of future back up guys. Start thinking about one in about the 4th round and beyond...

4th Will Grier (Some think he is a first round talent, I don't see it, but I do see a competent backup in his future)
    5th Kyle Shurmur
    6th Brett Rypien

FYI, For those that don't know...

    Day 1 = Rounds 1
    Day 2 = Rounds 2-3
    Day 3 = Rounds 4-7

If I was forced right now to take a stab at one of those later round QB's mentioned, it would probably be McSorley....

I could get on board with him as Mayfield's backup.
