This is the new nhl, it's insane, players are now getting paid on projections. Corsi and analytics have taken over the negotiations like some new found cult.

I was getting lectured by a millenial corsi guy that was trying to convince me that because nylanders corsi numbers are similar to another player when he was in his second year, it's only inevitable that nylanders numbers would see the same rise. He was telling me that we should easily expect his point total to go from 61 to 85 and he'll be right there with pasternak.
Slow down there buddy, there's no guarantees in life and especially not hockey. I remember the hell kadri was put through by ron wilson and carlyle, and rightfully so.
Show me the numbers and then I'll gladly pay you what you're worth.
Although the comparables have changed from 2016 when kadri signed, he still hasn't earned that deal, leafs should've gave him a three year $15M deal.

tampa just seems too damn tough this year.

Based on the standings, it should be a tampa vs jets/flames final. We know the playoffs is a whole different season, the pens are always a sleeping giant as well as the preds or vegas.

It was reported recently that Pavel Datsyuk is not ready to retire from professional hockey and rumors are, he is considering a return to the NHL. But, before people get too excited, Datsyuk’s agent has cautioned people not to get too hyped about the buzz.

Dan Milstein, (Datsyuk’s agent) spoke to the Free Press Thursday, suggested the only way Datsyuk would consider a return would be if he came back to the Red Wings. “He spent an entire career in Detroit. If he wants to come back, I believe he would only consider the Red Wings,” Milstein said. That’s not the easiest thing to do since the Arizona Coyotes own his rights.

Milstein said the idea of Datsyuk coming back “has been blown out of proportion.” All Pavel said is that he’s not ready to retire, would consider the NHL but neither he nor Milstein has spoken to any NHL executives about Datsyuk and won’t until ‘he tells me is considering coming back to the NHL.”

i watched her skate. she looked really fast. she had a quick stride. then the first NHL'er skated and beat her time and generated so much more MPH. That's the advantage of being a stronger and bigger person.

i actually thought the AS Game was today. it was last night. bummer. haha. hate the format and some of the goals - no one was back on defense so if that is allowed, go back to the conference AS games then. at least that is 5 on 5. 3 on 3 is silly. they looked lazy last night on some of the goals. no one caring. no one playing defense and goalies not saving a damn thing. seems like that was the complaint on the old AS games. hmm. go back to the old and real Wales vs Campbell Conference AS game.

She ended up beating Clayton Keller from the yotes. Her time was 14.346 and McDs time was 13.378, which is only less than a second quicker.

Per NBC Sports, Buffalo topped the list of the Top 5 markets in terms of viewership for the game, with a 5.9 rating, with Pittsburgh (4.7), St. Louis (3.0), Minneapolis-St. Paul (3.0), and Las Vegas (2.7) rounding out the rest of the top five markets.
