Meh. 4.10 ERA...when the NL league-wide average was 4.03. I know he doesn't get a lot of run support, but if you're looking at WAR numbers, he's really been above-average only once.
I'm not saying he was worth the money. Earnings are based off potential. It's a special talent to be able to throw with the kind of velocity Samardzija can bring. He's also got great hands. Known for being able to throw about every pitch in the book for strikes...No doubt, he has frustrated the teams that have paid him...
I hear ya - there's a certain appeal when it pertains to power pitchers. Samardzija was already 30 years old when he signed that deal with San Fran. He's got some skills, but for me, there's not enough return on investment.
i hear ya but pitching workouts vs the workouts of a wide receiver and a baseball game action vs playing football is quite different. yes baseball is longer bf he may pitch in 30 games if he's lucky and not get tackled by anyone.
Baseball players make a hell of a lot more money than football players. I have seen some pretty crappie players in baseball with ridiculous high salaries. But if you love playing football , you will skip baseball and play football, it’s the ultimate game. If you love money go to baseball, if you are good enough to make the major league roster you will get paid.
Axe-IMO 98% of these guys aren't worth their money! Harper and Machado are looking for $300 million dollar deals. $300 million each ! that's a ton of coin that tv revenue and beer and hot dog sales aren't bringing in to a struggling fanbase. You pay for what the player can bring to your batting lineup or pitching staff. ugly ERA or not, strike outs are strike outs and teams will pay for that.
haha. on the east coast they are waiting the trail of a specific weather pattern. if it blows to the west first, the east coast-ny, nj, md and pa gets 2-4 inches friday and a ton on saturday and sunday. if it moves slower to the south - we get rain for 3 days. not fun at all either way but i hate shoveling snow, so give me the rain. im a catfish anyways, i live the water.
Huh , all this time I thought you went online and lied about who you really are to unsuspecting women/girls/ND LBers.
