Not meaning to just take the chalk, but I'm going Chiefs and Rams today....If we see an upset this weekend, I think there's a much better chance we'll see it tomorrow. In fact, I like the Chargers for sure. Still trying to decide if I wanna stick my neck out for Philly. I do like the 8.5 they are getting.
Cowboys expected to negotiate extension with Jason Garrett... The Cowboys will try to extend their season by beating the Rams on Saturday night and they reportedly plan to extend their head coach’s contract whenever the season does come to an end. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the team is expected to open negotiations on a new deal with Garrett in the offseason. Garrett’s last extension came in 2015 and he is currently signed through the 2019 season. Garrett took over as head coach in Dallas on an interim basis in 2010 and has gone 77-59 in the regular season. The Cowboys have made the playoffs three times in his tenure and they are 2-2 in those appearances after beating the Seahawks last Saturday. With the Bengals and Dolphins reportedly set to hire others, it also appears that the Cowboys will retain Kris Richard as a member of the coaching staff. That return may come with a new title of defensive coordinator with Rod Marinelli becoming a senior defensive assistant. (PFT)
Sorry if the thread went sideways for a minute Will. It was not my intention at all... What can I say? I'm a Browns fan that can't say anything bad about Hue Jackson without somehow stirring it up with other Browns fans. lol! It's pretty ridiculous....All I can say is, it ONLY happens here on this site. I know of no other Browns fans that would even consider jumping to our former HC's defense. And I'm not just referring to those people I know. I'm talking about everything said and written in this universe. I haven't seen anyone defend Hue Jackson, other than here.... All ya gotta do is go back a page to my very first line on my first post about the subject of HJ. If nothing else, ya can't say I didn't try to prevent it or see it coming....Evidently, it's just impossible for me to give my take on Hue without this happening...For that, I apologize.
This is our, the peoples thread, feel free to have discussions at anytime... as a matter of fact I encourage it. No apologize are necessary. I never once have ever minded a convo or full blown argument on this thread. I only started it for the sake of conversation, so have at it and everyone is welcome to express themselves here. Honestly, I enjoyed the exchange...
Why would the talkin' heads during pregame state that the bad weather in KC favors the Colts. The Colts play in a dome on artificial grass as the Chiefs are an outdoor team... I don't get that one.
I honestly don't follow the Colts much, but aren't they more of a running team? That would favor them, and honestly a dome would favor the Chiefs. At least Hill anyways but looks like he's as fast in the snow as he is everywhere else so they clearly don't know what they were talking about lol
This might sound over the top, but I honestly don't think there is a human being alive that can cover Tyreek Hill. What an amazing weapon that guy is...He'll be a free agent after next season. I can't imagine what he'll command. There is nothing else like Tyreek... No doubt John Dorsey will be paying attention to that situation...
If the Chiefs D continues to play like they have done today Reid should finally capture a SB trophy and complete his resume.
I agree...It's really awesome to see too. I can only remember seeing this franchise win one playoff game in my life, and that was when Joe Montana was the QB....
That's what I meant. At Arrowhead.....I think they won a post season game in Houston a couple years ago.
My preseason prediction was Rams over Jaguars...I'll stick with the Rams as my pick, but I'm 100% rooting for the Chiefs. They really haven't done squat since Hank Stram and those guys .....nevermind. Sorry Will.
