here's 10 reasons skinny.

1) hextall sat on $8 mil in open cap space and didn't do shit with it after he signed JVR. THe team had holes he refused to fill. team still has money they're sitting on and fletcher has done shit with it. hexy claims the money is to resign provorov and konecny next year. ha ! i wouldn't extend them too freaking long. neither is that good and konecny stinks.

2) hextall refused to trade any of his prized prospects or even decent ones. people asked for them and he wanted the world back for them, so he pissed people off and they didn't come knocking on his door again.

3) 80% of the prospects stink and were overvalued and flat out mistakes to draft - GERMAN RUBITSOV ! I said 3 years ago he was a mistake and you guys laughed at me. Brian Bellows should've been the pick. The word got out and no one wanted these prospects anymore and at the insane price hextall wanted in return. he basically pulled a Ruben Amaro.

4) hextall wouldn't call up prospects until they were 22-24. way too long to see if they were good or not. most weren't.

5) Nolan Patrick should not have went #2 overall. he's hurt all the time and stinks. terrible scouting on him.

6 goalies suck

7) hakstol's pp scheme is last in the league. his hiring was a mistake.

8) hakstol's penalty kill scheme stinks. his longevity with the team was a mistake.

9) hakstol's OT 3 on 3 lineup matchups were dreadful. like he didn't know who was good on his own roster. him being near the team was a mistake.

10) no one listens to me. no nhl team in their right minds would have weal, weiss, lehtera, raffl, lindblom, and others on it. they are basic AHL'ers !! they are not NHL players and it shows. if they had 1 or 2 of these guys - ok. they have several starting nightly and it kills them vs a real NHL Team of real NHL Players.

$8 M could get you at least two or three key veteren free agents on short term deals. Some of those signings could've given them 3rd line depth, or maybe a 4th or 5th Dman.
