What colorful ex- Oakland Raider starred in NORTH DALLAS FORTY? What number did he wear in the movie? What number in real life career as a Raider?
So close! You got 2 out of 3 Lyman...Incorrect on movie number. Bo Svenson's character, Jo Bob Priddy, wore #65..
We watched Christmas Vacation this year.... His name was "Snots". the dog with the sinus infection...also he had a little "Mississippi leg hound" issue. lol! I can't remember the name of the dog that Clark left tied to the bumper of the family truckster.
The product was called Vitajex. He tells them they should make the pills yellow instead of white because it's "the color of sunshine and energy."
In the original ROCKY, Sylvester Stallone's father and brother (both named Frank) had cameo appearances. What characters did they play?
frank stallone jr was the guy singing on the corner by the barrel of fire. frank sr was the guy who rang the bell in the boxing match and when it was over he kept banging on it and the promoter had to stop him. haha.
Nice....Gotta love when Rocky yells to his brother, "Get a job you bum!" lol! Other little known facts about Rocky; -They filmed both running scenes in the same day. The one where he barely makes it up the steps, was shot early in the morning. And the one where he's in great shape and just flies up the steps, was shot a little later after the sun had risen... - When Stallone was hitting the sides of beef in the meat locker, he was so aggressive that he flattened out all his knuckles. To this day, when Sylvester Stallone makes a fist, his knuckles are all completely level... - The pics rocky has on his mirror at home are real life boyhood pics of Stallone... - The plan was for all the great boxing champions of the era to be ringside for the big fight with Creed. So the film makers sent out invites to all the boxing greats. Problem was, only Joe Frazier showed up. The director thought it ultimately worked out well since Joe was a Philly guy.... -
the one photo stallone grabs in the movie looks more like frank than him. he wrote the screenplay in 3 days. that's impressive coming from a guy who never wrote one before. hell, i've written 7 of my own and the fastest was 30 days. stallone wanted to star in it, but the studio wouldn't let him. he then refused to give them his screenplay. they caved and he starred in it. stallone was so poor at the time, he sold his dog. when he got money from the movie, he tried to buy it back and the guy wanted like $1500 for it or some insane amount and he paid for it. man's best friend. mickey was supposed to be racist in it and Creed Jamaican but the studio changed it. all 4 main actors were Oscar Nominated-Stallone, Talia Shire, Burgess Meridith and Burt Young. Tony, Rocky's boss as a collector, also starred with Talia Shire in the first 2 Godfather movies. stallone was nominated for 2 Oscars in 1977 and lost both. He lost Best Actor to Peter Finch, who died making the movie Network and he lost Best Screenplay to another movie. Movie won Best Picture and Director. 3 years ago he lost the Best Supporting Actor to Mark Rylance for Bridge of Spies. Rylance does little in the movie but sit in a chair and mope. im a huge Oscar buff and they have a history of awarding performances and careers of older actors. this was their chance to do it for Stallone and they blew it. Stallone is great in the role and he deserved an Oscar. Rylance's role was awful and so was the movie. M. Ali won an Best Supporting Oscar the next year for 7-12 minutes worth of movie time. awful. still can't believe Stallone didn't win in 2015.
