but Lane was 18 in the Outsiders and Hunt was in her early 20's - both well before their fame. they looked like everyday people you would see in school. same for kelly preston who was 19 in the movie Misfits. She looked like the girl next door, not some dolled up Hollywood actress. that's what i meant.
I knew what ya meant...forgot about them being in Outsiders though. Classic movie. My son's eighth grade Social Studies class is watching that movie today. I had to sign a permission slip for it this morning.
i liked Marisa Tomei until the opening scenes of the fantastic movie BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOUR DEAD and Phillip Seymour Hoffman banging her from behind. After that image in my head, i lost interest in her. that and she liked George Constanza on Seinfeld. haha.
the book was required reading for my HS after I graduated. I know the movie by heart. ABC even released it with more footage than the original years ago too. Lane in the movie looks normal, but hot. And the name Cherry Valance was awesome !
