If the Ravens are going to win the defense has to keep the Chargers to no more than 7 points to close it out and the offense has to continue to grind it out.

If BAL wins it will probably look like LAC 19 - BAL 20

 

When Tucker is missing 50 graders, you know Baltimore wasn't meant to win.

 

That Tucker miss might be the difference.

I hope not, because that guy has simply been the best kicker in all of football for the majority of his career.

 

The call to kick it was so questionable to begin with. Tucker is phenomenal, but you're talking about a swirly day of wind. Why when you're down by 2 scores still aren't you going for it on 4th and 1 when you've done it all year?

Ravens allowing sumo wrestler TE to get wide open and rumble. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone on the Ravens who played well aside from 48 and early stops from 99.

 

Nah, I'm going to give the entire defense credit. They didn't lose this game.

I can't believe we made zero adjustments on offense. Actually, yes I can. No slants, no screens, no rollouts, etc. We're running the same damn plays that weren't working in the first half.

They need to move on from Harbaugh and Marty because they are the two that allowed this

sure some of the players arent on point but our scheme is unoriginal and the chargers made adjustments we did not.

WHY THE FUCK IS JIMMY SMITH ON THE SLOT WHY PLS GOD TELL ME WHY A CAREER MAN COVER CORNER WHO IS USED TO THE SIDELINE IS IN SLOT WITH COVER 0.

Dont even get me started on this bullshit on O. Jackson is blinking under the lights and trying to do too much but this SD D turned up and studied.

I am pretty mad, fuck John, that call to kick it was foolish and either way is a nail in the coffin , we needed momentum and we needed a yard

also can someone tell Jackson that his speed is best used on the edge our just outside the tackle not up the middle

 

ok to be fair that ball is moving prior to hitting the ground and its suspended out of his hands, barely... but i am not sure if he had possession as he hits the ground, and weddle gets the touch.

Well, they got the TD anyway. Harbaugh's first one and done in the playoffs will come on possibly his last season in Baltimore

But can someone please tell me why our coaches are inept? Or at least defend what im seeing here?

Nah, you guys are both completely wrong on Harbaugh. You can have the opinion, but I'm not agreeing with you at all this time. Looking around the league, there are so many teams that would have given up and folded. This team plays hard for Harbaugh and is 99% of what the HC duties are. Do you want a Harbaugh team or the unmitigated locker room disaster that is the steelers? This game is atrocious, but Harbaugh didn't ask for 3 fumbles on 8 offensive plays.

The players botched this one to kingdom come. The defense did play well for the most part minus a couple hiccups. The offense just completely fell apart as did Jackson.

 

Payback for screwing them out of the TD on the review of the previous play. The chargers scored a TD on the Watt reception. The chargers deserve a TD because they scored before the fumble play. The NFL’s screwed up so bad with their officials.

 

LG has been abused all game long.

Look, just take the season for what it is. It was a miracle run to the playoffs and winning the division. They had no business doing either, but they gave us something surprising to root for. This game shows just how much the offense still has to go and how much it needs built in the offseason. The pass game is Negative yards into the 4th quarter. That's not coaches, that's players.

 

So based on what you just said there you seem to think the role of a HC is borderline that of a glorified cheerleader? They play hard for him? I dont think so. I dont think such a thing exists for the most part in the NFL, they play for each other. John brings next to no real tactical advantage. As for bringing up the steelers- It is apt because john and tomlin are cut from the same cloth. They both blow hot air and talk nonsense and botch calls. The role of a HC is to prepare the team, to be the arbiter and QB of that back coaching staff but time and time again he is found wanting!

Our ST is good, but then again we have Tucker so i wouldnt put too much stock in john there. Our offense has been good when Ozzie and co got us decent weps, but our boy johnny did his best to put his besties in a position of authority.

He fails on almost every level of management in the NFL yet you think we are being harsh?

I dont see it. I know im emotionally compromised right now but john is not a good head coach, i would argue most in the NFL are not good. they fall prey to their own con artistery and hubris.

Hurst needs to go, they have ABUSED his dumb ass at left guard all game long. Good season, but the Chargers will be moving on, they had the game plan and the will to get it done. Our team simply, once again, wasn't good enough on offense.

 

Again that is not entirely true, Pull the rookie when you can see him panicking.

OR develop a blocking scheme that actually adjusts to what the D is doing, THEY ARE JUMPING GAPS, that is all, and its fucked over our entire O line, players are trying to block but they dont know their assignments because they are poorly coached.

Yes they absolutely are a glorified cheerleader, and there is nothing wrong with that. The HC brings the vision to the team and should get the right coaches and players in place to see that come to light. Now could you argue that there have been bad player and coach hirings? Yup! I can agree with that.

This game though isn't on Harbaugh. It's on the players and Lamar completely shriveling in the limelight. They need more balance on offense. Is Marty the right guy for it? I can't answer that one, but it's the OC's job to bring the X and O here on this team, so that question does need to be solved.

In fairness, it was Bozeman who gave up the last sack. The position has been atrocious.
