Rams actually have the type of defense that can play well in the playoffs.

Plenty of teams with less than great defenses have won the Superbowl when their defenses stepped up in big ways in the playoffs. The Saints did that in 2009. The Giants in 07 went from giving up 22 points a game in the regular season to 16 in the playoffs and then did it again 2011....from 25 points per game to just 14 in the playoffs.

In 2010 the book on the Packers was they couldn't run the ball enough to win playoff games. That changed come playoff time.

Passing judgement on what teams did in the regular season to project how the playoffs will go is a little bit silly because there are gonna be some surprises.

The Bears have an offense that while not stellar by any means...can be really balanced, creative, and highly athletic. And the run game has been gaining steam.

It's gonna be hard to be the Saints in the Superdome. But it's far from impossible. They play the games for a reason.

 

Hooray for Tracy Porter, vs the Vikings and again vs the Colts!

Did a quick count. Going back 10 seasons (2008-2017), 8 #1 seeds failed to reach the Super Bowl. Five times BOTH #1s made it; three times NEITHER #1 made it.

Looking at it from that angle, it's essentially just about a 50-50 proposition we see a Saints-Chiefs SB.

 

Leave the Nashville one out...I need to sell it eventually.
