B-B-BUT they've played a whole 12 games together, surely they're better than a 7x pro bowler and a guy who went first ballot!
Agree with BWW. LOVE what I'm seeing out of LVE and Smith, but it's FAR too early to say they're a better duo than Urlacher and Briggs. LVE is in his rookie year, and this is the first FULL year Jaylen Smith has been 100% healthy.
It would be the most 2018 NFL season ever if the Eagles win next week, the Vikings lose and the Seahawks are in OT where a win gets them the 5 seed, a tie the 6 seed and a loss gives the Vikings the last spot on the backdoor.
Just my opinion but I think the Packers would be stupid to hire Jim Caldwell as their next HC. They’ve now interviewed him, but I think hiring him is the surest way to waste most of Rodgers remaining good years, if not all. As a Colts fan I can say with confidence I doubt we ever won a single game thanks to his coaching. Peyton basically ran the offense, and our D was never top 10 in any desirable category. We lost to Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez for #*%ks sake. And he did just enough in Detroit that it took a few years to decide he couldn’t get the job done. Packers should keep looking
Im not liking this playoff scenario with the Vikings. They have to beat the Bears to get in and play the Bears... kinda strange and a tough row to ho.
Chuck Pagano was interviewed also. I agree about Caldwell, he just doesn't seem to have it in my opinion. Not sure what the Pack is even thinking unless it has something to do with 'that rule'... the 'Rooney rule'. I don't mean this in a negative or derogatory way, but maybe he was the 'minority' interview.
Fully agree. It’s a decent rule, but obviously there are occasions when it’s more of a show than an interview. For example when the Eagles wanted to launch head first into hiring Chip Kelly. They first would have been required, by rule, to “interview” a minority candidate. But they knew damn well who they were after
I'd be SHOCKED - shocked, I say - if the Pack hired Caldwell...or Pagano. With the season not over, they can't speak to NFL coordinators. With college bowl games still on the docket, a lot of "name" college coaches aren't interviewing yet (Lincoln Riley, David Shaw, Chris Peterson, etc.) Pack is just doing their due diligence.
IMO it would be about time if David Shaw gets a crack at it. Part of me thinks he’s been turning down offers for 5 years already
i thought a viking loss and eagles win meant the eagles are in regardless of seattle ? a vikings loss would mean they're out and seattle and philly are in if philly wins ?
The winner of the Eagles vs Bears will eventually play the Saints for the NFC title. Yes, I'm saying that one of those 3 teams will be in the SB. Not the hottest take but it's toasty.
Eagles aren’t dead. They are going to the playoffs with a lot of momentum at the moment. Bears D will be tested by an offense that is clicking at the moment.
You sound like this Patriot fan I know throwing hateraid that talks smack with odds backing him up to rarely look wrong. Odds are the Eagles do lose in 1 or 2 but they just went through their best stretch of the season looking great and last season they went through all the doubts to win it all.
