The only factor that kept this game close was Nagy.

 

ugly wins are still wins. initial thoughts:

1) Nagy is the FIRST EVER Bears coach to win 11 games his rookie year. He is afforded the fuckups on the back of an amazing defense.
2) I am so done with Mizzell. Can someone explain his value to me?
3) I hope, more than anything, the team (Nagy/Bellamy/AR12/Trubs) all LEARN from this game. So many correctable mistakes.

 

That was a tough win. Did it despite losing the turnover battle i believe.

Mitch finished with good numbers, but the Offense was dysfunctional far too often. Howard finished the game with just 13 carries...

 

As I understand it, the Bears just clinched the #3 seed, and there are very slim chances at #1/#2 if the Saints lose out or the Rams lose to the 49ers.

I think the Rams losing to the 49ers is entirely possible, I will sure as shit be a fan of theirs next week. BEAR DOWN.

Saints win. Bears gotta play for the #2 seed now.

 

This team is completely capable of getting to the Super Bowl.

The only two things that could get in the way are:

- Nagy’s brain

- Trubisky’s brain

We can beat anyone if we play SMART.

 

I cannot get past that RPO.

That call displayed hubris, stubbornness, and just plain lack of football sense.

Nagy has a huge hand in bringing us here, but he will have a huge hand in out-thinking himself and sinking the whole deal if he continues down this road of senseless play calls like that.

You need two feet idiot. Run the ball.

 

I seriously don’t recall ever seeing the triple option run at the NFL level. It was one of the dumbest play calls I’ve ever seen and probably the worst pitch play in the history of professional football.

Nagy is a huge part of the reason the Bears are where they are. But he could also be the very reason they get eliminated from the playoffs.
