It's been a while but this was a fun game. What i liked: Smith and Marlon may very well be top 3 CB tandems in the league, the latter is becoming a true beast. Carr really stepped up Jefferson had a great game I said before the game our D line or front 7 getting pressure was the only way to win this game and that i thought it would be unlikely- i was wrong and they balled out. Jackson continues to impress, that pass to andrews was on the fucking money, and that crossing route to hurst- RIGHT on the money. great great accuracy and touch on the deep ball to andrews. His running was far more intelligent, even when he didnt go to the outside, he slid or was tackled relatively lightly from behind- no real battering ram tackles that i can recall which he took a couple off over the recent games. Tucker is still a god. Speaks volumes to the standard we hold him to that we are disappointed that he missed a 53 yarder and 65...( he had the right line!) Our D in general just needs the game ball. 10 points conceded away to the chargers? THAT IS INSANE. What i didn't like: Honestly, hated some of the calls by john, we left 3-10 points on the board through poor coaching decisions or bad plays by a WR. Ball security still needs to be fixed. Final thought. We lost 1 game in the last 6 weeks...to a team that is i think top 2 in the league and in all fairness we should have won that game. This D is truly legit and our secondary is scary. If our D line maintains some level of consistency then we can surprise a few teams. Jackson continues to grow and staying healthy will be key. Exciting times, and no...im not happy that we extended john. 2k
Hold on, I just have to pump the Jefferson brake slightly. Jefferson had a great game for Jefferson in Baltimore. He gave up what 30 yards in penalties on the first score by the Chargers. He also took a horrific angle on a deep pass to Williams down the sideline. If Rivers didn't overthrow it by a few yards, Williams walks in untouched for a TD all due to Jefferson's bad coverage. Again though, his big hit on Williams and strong jersey grab tackle were clutch.
That is fair, but i recall 3 well timed tackles from deep. He played his role for a guy who plays an outdated position in todays NFL. Btw, i think that even if we win the next game against the brown, as i said earlier that is a hard game, we would still end up playing PIT in the first round...wait no that is wrong. Actually fuck, if we finish 4th we play the chargers round 1 at their place again...if we finish 6th then we get the patriots...well fuck. That doesn't sound fun either way 2k
Tucker also continues to prove what an absolute joke the Pro Bowl is. In no reality that exists or has ever existed has Tucker not been the best kicker in the league for the past however many years.
No, The Chargers will have to come to Baltimore to play, no matter if they have more wins than our team does, division winners get a Home game in the first round.
