Actually I was wrong. I did my own in depth look and quickly found out ESPN is wrong with tiebreakers like usual. Redskins won both uncommon games while Eagles split. So Philly is ahead in common opponents tiebreaker, not Washington.

Looking at Vegas favorites, the Texans are expected to have to beat the Jaguars in week 17 or the Colts vs Titans winner will take the division.

My money is on the Texans with a full 2 game lead. Eagles might beat them, but Houston will probably destroy the Jags in Texas week 17.

LOL. Ya. Basically next week the Titans, Colts and Eagles are all favoured. The Titans and Colts play in week 17 and likely won't tie. That means the Texans need to not lose to the Jags to win the division since they would lose to both the Titans and Colts on tiebreakers.

Aren't the Texans favored against the Eagles? If that holds, then the final week of the season will be meaningless for Houston.

Eagles are 1-point home favs. And where it is listed as a pick'em it's really a 0.5 line for the Eagles as the moneyline is skewed quite a bit to the Eagles. (But 0.5 is rarely showed as it means a tie and Vegas wants to avoid that often).

Pretty big shift. Line yesterday was Texans by 3.5.

I'm still seeing it at HOU -3.5 so I'm not sure where Joe is getting that line from.

Maybe very early in the day but yeah shifts like this happen when a line comes out before the previous games even play. The Eagles showed a gameplan that can actually work and the Texans aren't really that great against good teams. It's debatable if the Eagles are good but the Texans played a lot of close games and really beat no one great off the top of my head.

I see a negative 1/2 a pick up everywhere. Maybe where you're looking at isn't updated. I know that one site has been lazy the last month or so in that regard.

I'm seeing ESPN has updated there line to PHI -1, same as sportsbook.

It looks like money on the game between the Texans and the Eagles poured in on Philadelphia early on Monday and began to shove the line over to the home team. Look for that to level off and end somewhere near a pick as the balancing cash should hold the line from moving too much farther beyond +/- one point.

I'm calling this the 'Nick Foles' effect, lol.

He isn't scared to use Alshon like Cam Newton did. Get it close and let him snag it. That strategy along with running it more is helping. I do wonder where the sharps will lean come the weekend. And yes I know what you meant.

Christian McCaffrey first player since 1985 with 50 yards rushing, receiving, passing...

Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey did a little of everything on Monday night.

McCaffrey ran the ball 15 times for 53 yards, he caught eight passes for 67 yards, and he threw a 50-yard touchdown pass on a trick play.

That made McCaffrey the first player since Walter Payton with the 1985 Bears to have 50 or more yards rushing, receiving and passing all in the same game. Payton, who did it in the final regular-season game of that great Bears season, also threw a 50-yard pass, while running for 81 yards and catching four passes for 55 yards.

According to Pro Football Reference, the feat has only been accomplished four times since 1950. In addition to McCaffrey and Payton, the others to do it were Tom Tracy for the 1960 Steelers and Billy Ray Barnes for the 1958 Eagles. (PFT)

When you can get mentioned along with Walter Payton...you likely did something really good.
