Man I thought the Cardinals might actually win this game. It looked good early and then it went completely the other way after the pick-6.
Driskel is having trouble completing passes. Looks almost Nathan Peterman-like. Only difference he hasn't thrown 5 INTs on 20 passes yet. But he's only completed around 12 of 30 passes, with at least 3 completions being screen passes
Miami gets wrecked. Crazy thing is that they could be in great position this time next week or eliminated. Titans, Colts, Steelers and Ravens all influence it.
There's an interesting situation in the AFC North right now. The Bengals and Browns play each other next week and assuming the Steelers lose their next two and the Ravens lose to the Chargers that would mean that the winner of the Browns versus Bengals game will need the other team to help them out in week 17 to win the division.
Even though it hurts their draft status, it was nice to see the Falcons playing well. The one downside is that you can't feel too good about beating up on the Cardinals. At times they had as many as eight rookies on the field on offense. Watching them play, you couldn't help but wonder how the hell Green Bay managed to lose to these guys.
I can handle a wild card with a losing record its when a division winner with a losing record gets in just because they won a crappy division.
The Bears have gone from worst to worst to worst to worst to first. After finishing in last place in the NFC North for four consecutive years, Chicago has clinched the division today with a win over Green Bay at Soldier Field. The Bears can now start getting ready for the playoffs. The Bears’ defense had its way with Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback who has beaten them so many times through the years — and in Week One of this year. Today the Bears got their revenge on Rodgers, holding him in check, pressuring him often, and forcing him to throw just his second interception of the season with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, a pick that sealed the Packers’ fate. The loss moves the Packers’ playoff hopes from slim to none, and it firmly establishes the changing of the guard in the NFC North: Not only are the Bears on top this year, but the Bears’ key players are younger than the Packers’ key players. This looks like a rivalry that the Bears could get the better side of for many years to come. But the Bears aren’t thinking that far in the future just yet. They’re thinking about January, when they’ll host at least one playoff game at Soldier Field, and they’ll be a tough team to beat.
My point was how they were using Kalen today compared to the rest of the season. The outcome of this game wasn't part of that opinion. The Dolphins made some hay on the ground today using Ballage as a running back instead of a gadget player, and they probably never make that decision if Gore doesn't get injured. It's just more evidence that Gase needs to be removed.
Ya they finally used him but somehow they still didn't give Drake anything. Was something wrong with him? He still made returns but it was weird. Miami is one of those teams that has weird personnel decisions. Gase does need to go. Funny though that Miami is still in it and may have decent odds.
Browns and Bengals seasons over if the Steelers hold on here. Browns technically still alive but will need so many things to happen including the Titans and Colts to tie in week 17.
Bengals eliminated and the Browns essentially are as well as the need a week 17 Titans vs Colts tie among other things to make the playoffs.
I think his injury is definitely playing into it, but there is no rhyme or reason to what they try to do on offense.
@LAOJoe And the Steelers actually do what we discussed, they do the most Steeler thing of 2018 and pull the upset at home to make everyone second guess whether or not they are ready to make a deep playoff run.
It would be very entertaining if the final game of the season was Colts vs Titans with winner-take-all and tie going to the Browns. That being said I don't see both teams losing next week.
And Dallas is making things interesting now. Redskins back in the division and Wildcard picture. Eagles should lose tonight but if they don't lose it gets really weird.
I believe the Cowboys only needed one win out of the last 3 games to clinch the division. The tie-breakers all work in their favor.
Last 2 games now. They should win both games but they are starting to make their fans nervous for Washington if next week works against them. Giants are dangerous spoilers and Washington likely get a Eagles team that plays almost nobody.
